Re: Warriors Free Agency 2025
How about this one…
Beal gets bought out.
S&T JK to ATL for the NO first (ATL has a trade exception for like 25M i think).
Split the MLE between Beal, Horford, and Lillard.
Warriors will be the all-old team.
2026-27
Curry, Lillard
Beal (at 33 will be the spring chicken of the bunch)
Butler
Green
Horford
Maybe can get CP3 to play stretch 5 for the minimum.

Beal can't be stretched and waived.
Unlikely, atl gives up a pick for kuminga. They have jj, who is better.
Horford might choose the lakers.
Im starting to think no one wants to deal with dray AND jimmy.

It's like when Bart was put in remedial class...

Re: Warriors Free Agency 2025
Apart from the whole JK thing. They are still some good players out there that I would want:
Amir Coffey
Trey Lyles
Thomas Bryant
Chris Boucher
Jabari Walker
Lonnie Walker
Javante Green
Monte Morris
Ben Simmons
Elfrid Payton
And obviously Al Horford.

Coby would be one year rental guy and he would leave us in free agency next year.

I would go with Hordford, both Walker's, and Payton. All would be cheap with the exception being Hortford.

Re: Warriors Free Agency 2025
Maybe it will be another 4th of July miracle for the Warriors tomorrow.
So far we are linked to a guy who's headline reads that he is considering the Warriors, Lakers and retirement.

Al Horford continues to consider his options in free agency as he is set to leave the Boston Celtics. The Golden State Warriors are considered the frontrunners to sign Horford, but he is also considering the Los Angeles Lakers or even retirement.

Re: Warriors Free Agency 2025
Simmons is claiming Horford to the Warriors is a done deal. Some rando on the Sporting News is claiming we’re trying to acquire Kessler.

Duncan Robinson stole his lunch. And I thought Duncan opting out was idiotic.

Re: Warriors Free Agency 2025
I don't like acquiring yet another super old key player, but Horford does make a lot of sense since he's a big who Kerr would actually play. And for Horford it's guaranteed playing time because he'd instantly be the best center on the team by a long shot. And he hits his free throws so you can play him in a closing lineup and opponents can't keep hacking him.

If Horford is considering retirement then that means he's probably already checked out...ugh.

Ah, you went off message for this offseason. That should have been "dray AND kerr".
I am pointing more on Kerr. McGee wanted no part of Kerr's big rotation, instead chose Sacto. Now KD blamed Kerr.
And most recent years, no bigs want to be GSW's plan. Al is the closest to being a real big in this decade.... and GSW is competing with retirement.
