Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions - A Plethora of Moves
Let's say the Bucks are offering Kuzma, AJJ and under the right circumstance the 31 1st and/or the 32 pick swap. Here's the list of wings that are I think attainable with that package: RJ Barrett, Kevin Huerter, Andrew Wiggins, Atlanta has a glut of wings but I don't know who the odd man out is, probably not Deny Avdija but its worth asking about, if you haven't yet bought out MIcic you could probably get Jerami Grant but I think while he's better than Kuzma you run into some of the same positional problems, Dillon Brooks, KCP and maybe Herb Jones.
Some of those I mentioned are terrible ideas (KCP), but I think this is a pretty comprehensive list.

So it's settled, we hold onto Kuzma until the deadline when hopefully his value flips to neutral or moderately positive, bouncing back from a career worst yr, & being a descending contract that can provide apron relief going forward.
Tell Doc he can't start Kuzma at the 3 or he's fired (fire him anyway though). 6th man, 4 off the bench, & w/ Giannis at the 5.

We absolutely do not, objectively, have what it takes to get either one of those guys. My offer (Murphy and Alvarado for Kuzma, Dre, 2031 1st) was tongue in cheek. But I absolutely believe that Dumars will baffle the basketball world again before the calendar shows August.
What are your thoughts on pursuing Keegan Murray?
I know you didnt ask me but hes been on my mind. I dont know his game super well but the idea of him has always been attractive to our team needs. Looking at bball index, he had an elite year on defense as a wing stopper two years ago and was solid on offense, but took a step back last season. Still nothing terrible, just not a resounding plus. So if you believe in him and they are listening, i think its a good time to buy. 6'8, played 70+ games all three seasons. Already good to great defensively with offensive upside. I dont know if you can do better that with 31 1st unless you are waiting to package it for something bigger.
I think Keegan Murray would be a great get and might be a buy low (and attainable) due to the step back he had last year. Like Turner, his style fits great on this team. And he is a RFA after next year so he could be locked up a long time.

I think the Bucks need to go all in to see if they can take advantage of the Kings. You have to give talent to get talent and I think Keegan Murray has been SEVERELY under utilized on that team. Go after our 22 year old small forward that we can let grow into our Middleton. Also, they need to get off Monks longterm deal and he is the the perimeter scorer and occasional 4th quarter closer that we need.
Bucks send out: AJ Green/Kuzma/2031 1st
Kings send out: Keegan Murray/ Malik Monk
This is a 10 man rotation that fits like a glove. That said, the Kings probably don't consider this offer.
Bucks Roster:
KPJ/Monk
Trent/Rollins
Murray/ Prince
Giannis/Portis
Turner/ Sims

The guy has somehow managed to cultivate this perception of likability by pulling the wool over people’s eyes.
It always starts like this. Then the losing keeps happening. Then Doc takes no accountability and throws the team under the bus. Then Doc leaves.
I can’t believe some of you are falling for, “the players seem to like Doc,” bit.
I'm not saying Doc is a great or even good coach. I'm saying citing JJ, CP3, and Griffin (all malcontents) as examples is meaningless.
Giannis has publicly stated how much he loves Doc. And yes Giannis also loved Kidd. Again, I'm not saying Doc is a good coach. I'm saying Giannis loves the guy and at the end of the day that's what is important.
Bigly disagree with this.
Pretty much every ex-Clipper has echoed their sentiment. Throw in Jamal Crawford as another.
I get that it’s easier to view guys as malcontent when Doc is actively coaching your team and you don’t want to believe it, but it’s not going to end well.
You got me, I'm a die hard Doc fan who will defend him to the ends of the earth

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

As Berman said, championships aren't won in July. The roster the day after the trade deadline is what matters.

Not trying to “get” anyone.
I just don’t think it matters how much Giannis loves Doc. Giannis has loved all of his coaches. He’s not going to say anything negative about the guy publicly.
The fact is, we have more than a few people, from multiple different stops, who have trashed Doc and his lack of accountability and his ability to throw guys under the bus. We also have evidence of Doc doing this in the media.
He’s a master at creating the narrative that he’s a great player’s coach, but he very clearly is not.

Can’t wait to see him fully healthy, to contribute and be impactful as he was with a torn labrum is really impressive. Lock him up Horst!

If we had Horst operating at an average level over the last few offseasons, we would have a bit more ammunition to go get a guy like Murphy. He’s been extremely foolish with our asset pool and we are delusional if we think NO is excited about taking Kuzma and a first back lol.
Trading for Jrue and Dame wiped that all out.
Extremely few disagreed with either move at the time, both felt like wins. So thats the route we went.
Could we have waited and cashed in on a younger player later? Maybe, but there was urgency

Ohhh careful... Youve nudged the hive.
Hopefully you dont get roasted for suggesting that we include less athletic Grayson Allen to get our wing of the future.

AJG is already a better defender and shooter than Allen ever was.

This is what i mean when i say the love is irrational. AJ Green is untouchable now? Thats absolutely insane. There's no basketball reason to say he's untouchable. And if hes such an incredible basketball player then hes a hell if an asset to include in a trade.
Hey, i just realized we can get Trey Murphy now! We just need to include AJ Green and get at least one unprotected first back

he was probably the best player in terms of value provided for dollar paid last season

AJG is untouchable because his potential is massive and you won’t get a good enough return for the value he provides.

What do you project is AJG’s ceiling? He’s never going to be an all-Star caliber player which makes me wonder why you’d consider him untouchable in a trade for a clear #2 scoring option.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions - A Plethora of Moves
AJ Green isnt untouchable but im only including him if we're getting back a bonafide #2. He's going to breakout big time when we unleash GA at the point for the full season. im expecting a 50/43/90 season from AJG next year and would bet on it
