Listening to him actually got me excited for the season. He’s preaching the need for better work habits, team building effort, and overall work ethic. Last season was a reckoning for the team and I think the message was loud & clear. Morey is rebuilding a younger team around Maxey who is now the culture setter in the room. Embiid/PG are welcome to come along for the ride but they’re no longer driving the bus.

Johnny goddamn Airport. First to arrive to greet these guys when they sign with Philly.
For such a tall, attractive man, he's super down to earth and cool, too.

This 100%. I love the fact that Morey seems to have admitted without saying it that the George and Embiid signings were mistakes in retrospect, and instead of doubling down and burying this franchise for the next half decade, he is reversing course and looking toward '26-'27 and beyond with the picks and moves he has made. Maxey stepping up as a leader only further amplifies what a brilliant pick he was.

Only 1 player on the roster that they drafted averaging more than 10 ppg (Keegan Murray).
