Spencer Dinwiddie, Hornets Agree To One-Year Deal

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Jul 2, 2025 6:46 pm

Spencer Dinwiddie and the Charlotte Hornets have agreed to a one-year deal. Dinwiddie gives the Hornets veteran rotation depth in the backcourt, which is critical considering the injury history of LaMelo Ball.

Dinwiddie averaged 11.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 27.0 minutes last season with the Dallas Mavericks.

Just what the Hornets need, another vet guard to take minutes away from the younger talent.

Thank you for checking if I read, your sincerity is appreciated. And despite Ball's injury history, they still seem to have ample protection with Sexton, Mann and Smith. And my point was not saying that depth behind Ball is not necessary, Dinwiddie is likely to need minutes. This acquisition suggests that they are a contending team. It does not break them financially, but what is their direction? We are still entitled to have our own opinions at this platform or are we all sycophants?
