This is a huge upgrade. Jonas is a starter in this league. It's weird he's in the reserve role when he's one of the few bigs that learned how to shoot it from 3 consistently to keep the defense honest. I know he doesn't provide much as a rim protector but he's still a good player imo. Bad news is for those who don't like load management, I can definitely see Denver giving Jokic nights off when Jonas is your backup C. His numbers PER 36 are really damn good and when he gets starter minutes he always produces as such too. Denver is definitely back in contention

He still has a guaranteed deal. Maybe they're trying to sign him in advance? Because yeah, JV is still under contract.

Yeah. We're going to need more information. Denver still has to agree with this, and it feels weird that they'd pull the trigger on a trade and JV wouldn't have said anything beforehand about trying to get signed overseas.

He's not taking less money, salaries in Europe are after taxes, 4M Euro net is close or more than what he'd make in DEN.
Also, it's not not crazt to take leas and live where you want.

If he leaves the Nuggets absolutely need to throw every dollar they have available at Horford. Honestly they should’ve just done that in the first place IMO.
