I don't mind the Spencer signing. At least it seems like we have a plan and direction. Whether it's a good one remains to be seen lol

pg - melo/mann/kj

sf - miller/okogie

c - nurkic/moose
updated guess
pg - melo/mann/sion/kj/baugh
sg - kon/sexton/con/liam/nsj
sf - miller/green/okogie/jefferies
pf - miles/grant/salaun
c - moose/kalk/plumlee
pg - melo/mann/spencer/sion/kj/baugh
sg - kon/sexton/con/liam/nsj
sf - miller/green/okogie/jefferies
pf - miles/grant/salaun
c - moose/kalk/plumlee
other scenario
= sexton as starting sg
= spencer as primary back pg
= kon as a sf, backup to miller
= green out of rotation
= baugh, kj, jefferies all cut; nsj traded
= sion* as 2way
= kalk* as 2way
= 15 + 2 2way
pg - melo/spencer/sion*
sg - sexton/mann/con/liam
sf - miller/kon/green/okogie
pf - miles/grant/salaun
c - moose/kalk*/plumlee
not ideal but only way i can nam the mess at guard and keep okogie
my fave iteration until we see jeff's next move

Scott was definitely not the consensus as the arguing on here was painful. The Scoot fans were just EXTRA vocal.

That was my original thought after the sexton trade, it feels so similar to the rozier back court for me

Is today the day? After the 7th when contracts are officially signed?

Hate to say it, but Scoot won the poll over Brandon Miller.
I was going by big board polls and what player was highest left available when the Hornets actually picked.

Gotta imagine these execs working through Fourth of July weekend given the magnitude of this negotiation.
LeBron may even be involved, trolling his way off the Lakers sunken yacht.

James is a pirate…always seeking his next stacked team.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

If you are going to win with young stars you have to surround them with some vets. For this reason I really like the Plumblee and Dimwiddie moves. Sexton probably more of a lateral trade but the extra 2nd never hurts.

Re: Offseason 2025 Thread
i dont recall being highly invested in Scoot or Miller either way but I was super agitated by the way Brandon got trashed on in SL and Scoot was anointed off 8 minutes of play and an injury
kind of worried we wont be able to gloat on that one much longer if Brandon doesnt have a very good outcome from this injury. Scoot was turning it on at the end of last year

Re: Offseason 2025 Thread
I'd say Miller and Scoot are about even between the first and second seasons. I was definitely team Scoot but I think in the end it is just a matter of preference as both are in the same tier of prospect as of now.

Miles seems to be viewed differently inside the building. On the outside he is viewed as low character and rightfully so after what happened off the court.
But the way the players talk about him it seems he's the leader in some ways. The fact new ownership and the GM has stuck with him makes me believe he's going to be part of our core moving forward.
I guess he's doing a great job inside the building and gaining trust from his teammates and the guys up top.
Good for Miles hopefully he stays out of trouble off the court moving forward.
