But at the same time, they're not stupid. They're not going to win enough to relinquish the protected pick they owe to NY. If the team starts inching up to 6th-worst or 7th-worst record in the league, they will shift from ethical tanking to flagrant tanking. Anybody who has been playing well will get "hurt".

Hurt or traded. And I don't see why this would even be challenged.

One thing - you don't want to be 7th. It is easy for two to jump the line.

Yup, it happened to the Wizards in 2019 and 2020.

What’s your read on the Tristan situation, he’s not in town prepping for SL, and he is not on published rosters.

He's a restricted FA so we can match whatever offer he gets. I don't really see other teams lining up to snatch him away from us so I assume he'll take the qualifying offer?

The salary of a two-way player is half that of the rookie minimum, so around $600,000, I would imagine his agent is trying to get him more money overseas, or some team is going to offer a 3-year $9M deal, just a guess.

I've never been but I know its supposed to be incredible. Was just thinking Jonas may have had a shot at a ring in Denver.

What difference does any of this make? Why does the caged bird sing, why did they add blue M & M's in 1995?

Apparently the Greek team offered him very significant money.

So I would be very down if we waited and took advantage of the musical chairs here .if we just stood pat and keep the powder dry fine! But if we can some how take advantage late I'm down too!

Seems like not that long ago he was dismissed as
non NBA level player.

He's a 7 foot bucket machine that's beginning to try on defense. I want to keep him, short term at least.

The Washington Wizards entered the mix in the last 24 hours, and the idea of Kuminga as a possible fit in Washington’s rebuild has gained real momentum, according to league sources. The Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets have also registered varying levels of interest, league sources said.

wow! Nate called it.
He could fill the PF slot till we draft someone next year. BTW, whats with his FT% - 67% last year and <70% career? Is his shot really that bad?

I kinda hope we don't sign Kuminga.

We seem to always go after young, incomplete players who couldn't really cut it on their original teams.

This feels like Kyle Kuzma/ Jordan Poole all over again.

Kuminga would be not all that different from adding Ace Bailey, tbh. Could work out great, could end up getting Grundled.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?
