Utah out: Collins and less favorable 28 swap
Utah in: Holiday and a future unprotected 1st
Miami out: Rozier and a 2nd
Miami in: Collins
Portland out: Holiday and an unprotected future 1st
Portland in: Rozier, 28 swap, and a 2nd
Why for Utah: A vet to mentor the young guards
Why for Miami: Get a better fitting, expiring player
Why for Portland: Clear cap
UTA/POR/MIA

Re: UTA/POR/MIA
why would portland pay to clear cap now when they could've had capspace w/ simons to begin with?
you are asking them to turn simons/1st/2 seconds into rozier/future swap/2nd. thats not a good deal

Re: UTA/POR/MIA
So Portland pays a UNP FRP to move a guy they just traded for - who was traded for a guy with an expiring contract like Rozier.
Not sure this one was thought through.

Re: UTA/POR/MIA
So Portland trades Simons, a better player than Rozier, for Jrue Holiday.
Then, they trade Jrue Holiday and an unprotected 1st for a worse expiring than Rozier.
I'm sorry OP, you are trolling here or forgot to think about the baseline logic.

Yeah, this stinks for Portland. Miami should do it and the Jazz are just stalking value

Amazing for UTA, they should do it, POR though, they may have some reservations about being screwed like this.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

Hard pass for POR.
Sure as hell not sending out a FRP to downgrade to another tiny sg.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Re: UTA/POR/MIA
Yeah, this seems to me like Utah is setting up the tank for the year. Terry Rozier could be your tank commander! And who knows, he may have a year like he had in Charlotte. Maybe you can get something of value for him at the deadline. Cut Portland out. They're not giving you value to take someone they value.

Re: UTA/POR/MIA
Portland is for sure hanging up the phone here. They already attach a asset just to turn Simons into Jrue Holiday. Giving a unprotected 1st round pick to turn Holiday into a useless expiring contract is simply pointless and really they're getting robbed from a value standpoint.

I’ve thought for a while that the OP is a sock account. With that user name and many trollish proposals, it is hard to believe he is genuine. Are you telling me this poster joined in 2013 with that user name and happened to be a Jazz fan? Or the more likely answer of when Ainge went to the Jazz, the poster continued to pretend to be doing lopsided trades, but now for the Jazz instead of Boston.
