Wiggins / Hachimura / DeRozan/Monk

Post#1 » by Syko_boB » Thu Jul 3, 2025 11:04 pm

Miami
Rozier & Wiggins for Hachimura, DeRozan & Kleber

Lakers
Hachimura, Vincent & Kleber for Wiggins & Monk

Kings
DeRozan & Monk for Rozier & Vincent

*this deal requires LAL to move Milton for cap space & MIA to move a player (K Johnson) for roster space

I don't believe this move would cost MIA or LAL any 1sts, but could see SAC requesting some value from each, and maybe sending back 2nds to bridge the gap

Miami gets their Jimmy replacement in DeMar who brings leadership & consistency
Rumor has it they are interested in Rui & the fit looks pretty solid here

Herro / DeRozan / Hachimura / Jovic / Adebayo
Mitchell / Highsmith / Jaquez / Ware

LA takes back their comments about saving money for free agency and brings in as much talent as they can without risking all their future assets

Doncic / Reaves / Wiggins / James / Ayton
Monk / Knecht / Vanderbilt

Sacramento risks becoming a little bit more mediocre but gives a chance to their young core to step up, while ridding themselves of their less desireable longterm contracts

Schroder / Ellis / LaVine / Murray / Sabonis
Carter / Rozier / Davis / Saric

The Kings need draft capital from the Lakers for them to accept this deal.

Monk getting traded for Dennis Schroeder ? I don’t think the lg values him and his contract.

Simons and sexton trade got the market for small scorers trending down. Cam Thomas would be an interesting data point.

They get off of longer deals.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

They get trash

They will not be under the salary cap. Plus they lose players who do not stink.

It is nonsense. Monk actually has value. Trade him next season.

Well, in this trade idea, Sacramento is giving up by far the two best players -- Monk and Rozier -- and getting back two guys (Rozier and Vincent) who have underperformed and been chronically injured, respectively. It's a salary dump, and that is part of the value the Kings are getting here. But I still think the Kings would need a 1st round pick or at least a swap because even if we say Monk = Rozier, Vincent ≠ DeRozan. And that gap in value is what needs to be filled.
