An interesting comparison to Andre Iguodala. Is Iguodala going to be in the Hall of Fame?

lmao at these people voting yes. Of course not. It's not even close. Well, it's not close whether he deserves it or not but who knows when it comes to the HoF? They've got a lot of underserving players in there.

No.

I've always liked Horford and any team would have loved to have him. He's an excellent role player and defender; not a HOFer.

He would be the biggest joke of an HoF induction in my lifetime. Just does not have the peak talent & individual impact to belong in the HoF.

Atlanta needed Al to be a three point threat like he became.

In 22-23 with Boston he made 2.3 per game at 44% for the season.

No, he was a very good player, but HoF has a lot to do with awards and accomplishments and he definitely has not enough. At that point we can also start discussing if Tyson Chandler or Joakim Noah should make it.

There are more accomplished players that haven´t made it.

He made 5 All Star teams and one NBA 3rd team, while a good amount of his prime fell in a period where the NBA had his lowest level of talent at the Center position since the 50s. It was common that players that weren´t even traditional Centers like Duncan or Stoudemire made the All NBA team as Center and there were discussions to stop going per position, since the competition was so low. If you don´t make an All NBA team over 36 year old Phoenix Suns Shaq, Andrew Bogut, Tyson Chandler, Al Jefferson, DeAndre Jordan and Andre Drummond, while most of them played on teams that either didn´t or barely made the playoffs, you´d probably wouldn´t have made a single All Star game in the 80s or 90s.

He was always considered to be a very good Center, but I would say that at no point of his career he would come to your mind when you though of the current best Centers in the league.

Maybe. But only because of the FMVP.

As of now, certainly not. If he could be a big piece of another championship (lock down defense and clutch plays leading to a chip), still probably not but I'm listening.

Amazing college career gives a boost for sure.

Absolutely not he was solid but imo wasn't even the 2nd best option on the hawks teams most year. To me all of Joe Johnson, Paul Milsap, Josh Smith, and maybe Teague were more important most the time. Although Horford was very solid so im not discrediting him and his help to the team but he wasn't the focal point at all and others needed to carry it more than him most years.

At this rate Ty Lawson will start getting nominated. Good grief.

He was a central key player on the last college team to repeat as champions. It isn't the nba hall of fame dude...he's a mortal lock. Not even a debatable one.

5x All-star

1x All-NBA Third Team

1x NBA All-Defensive Second Team

1x NBA champion

2x NCAA Champion

NBA All-Rookie First Team

Not even Jordan is in the NBA HOF, so no chance he makes it there :)

I don’t follow it enough but do guys like Horford actually get in? If so, how many players are in the HOF? Like 5,000? lol.

Horford has had a great career but being in the HOF should only be reserved for a select few.

College matters dude. He's a 5x allstar which is already a fairly high standard despite a lot of gripes but not enough to be a lock. 7 is generally the lock. But being a key guy on the last back to back NCAA championship team and being a 5x allstar and an NBA champion is a lock. I'm not even sure I can think of a good comp because that's a unique resume. He's got some international rep too which I don't think is enough to move the needle but it doesn't hurt.

My gut and heart says yes. A definite non-1st ballot HOF'er.
