Scottie turned himself into an all-Defence caliber player, on top of being an all-star in his third season. On his best days, DeMar's defence makes KAT seem like Mutombo by comparison. How many seasons did it take DeMar to become an all-star?

DDR and Lowry lead us into the playoffs consistently. Scottie had not.

DD was never that talented, didn’t have a good first step. His role was basically shouldering some of the offensive burden while Lowry won us games. He was a negative if the ball stuck to his hands too much. Dude maxed out his talent.
Scottie has better athleticism, length, height than DD and has had above average handles/passing ability since his rookie season. He’s better as a help defender than 1 v 1 defender, but defense is most about experience, effort, IQ/awareness and improving your body rather than improving your skills. i.e. It doesn’t matter what DD does or works on in the off-season, he was never gonna become a plus defender.

SB is much more talented. However, at this point of his career, his status had been surpassed by Cade. SB needs to prove it he can lead the team into playoffs consistently before getting into the same conversation as DDR. DDR had 4 all star and 2 all nba with us. SB needs to catch up. He has the talent to, but he has to prove it.

I love that he’s wearing an ankle brace. Now I don’t know if he’s always worn one but if not I hope he keeps it up. Anything to help prevent another bad ankle sprain is welcome lol. It seems to have helped Steph Curry because he used to stay spraining his ankle in his early seasons. Then he started wearing the brace on both ankles permanently and I can’t remember the last time I heard of ankle sprains with him.

A quick Google Images search tells me that Ingram did not wear ankle braces in New Orleans.
Steph had his ankles cleaned out (tons of scar tissue) and then changed his training to improve his hip strength and stability. Braces don’t hurt though. Plus I trust the Raptors medical staff with anything after they got Kawhi through the year.
