Re: #25: Welcome to Orlando, Jase Richardson!
I’d be more concerned about his size if he wasn’t already so efficient at the rim and he turns it over so rarely, given that he (by mid-season) was clearly identified as MSU’s prime threat to be schemed against.
Wingspan is more significant than height. He shoots and dribbles and passes with hands at the end of his arms not his neck.
First team All-Rookie …we won’t be discussing some 4D chess fantasy about agreeing to spend a season in the G League.

I'm not concerned about age with a player like Jase considering his current development and skillset. Players like him can find minutes on a contender.
Fears is a real project. Jase If his skillset translates like I anticipate can have a real role on this team next season.

Ranking good to very good in most play styles AS a freshman guard is pretty darn good!

I’m trying not to raise my expectations to high but I am pretty excited to see him play.
Tyus is likely a one year rental. Jase is already a better defender than Tyus.

So what I am hoping for is Jase and Tyus become best friends and he actually learns the PG ropes. I feel similarly about Black as well. It's a huge risk and a "why didn't we do this sooner" rental. A lot like how Blacks game resembles more Ingles, but that was arguably the closest thing to a PG we had at the time.

The Tyus Jones signing was a multi dimensional necessity for this reason.
- legitimate point guard, not a combo guard
- luxury backup that has an elite skillset
- can mentor Jase with ball skills and tempo
- can easily fill in when/if Suggs or Bane is injured
- 1 year deal to test it out. Low commitment
- backup system if the starting lineup doesn’t produce efficiently

I don't know why, I just have this feeling he's going to end up being a steal especially considering where he was drafted.

I love Richardson's 3-ball release point. So smooth.
I love Richardson's on-ball defensive grit.
He will be a Darrell Armstrong-type fan favorite after a year or two in pin-stripes!

Le'ts say Richardson evolves into a 15 mpg backup PG by 2027, that is a STEAL at #25.

Getting 15 minutes per game off the bench is a steal at #25??

yes
On average, a #25 is a future "deep bench player". If Mr-25 becomes a rotational player, then value was found.
