He's really washed, but that is actually a decent blow to them as he's still somewhat playable, especially for what they need.

I was told by the people at The Ringer that Denver had an amazing off-season and that since Jokic was in his prime, they couldn’t spare anything in their quest to get help this year, which of course they did. Well, until now.

I hate Chris Paul as much as any reasonable person, but I take him for a year to teach KPJ how to play lead guard.

This is BRUTAL.One Eastern executive with knowledge of how the conversation went from Atlanta’s perspective described a perplexing scene. When Senior Vice President Troy Weaver made the call to Atlanta’s Bryson Graham, Graham couldn’t believe what was actually being offered. Graham asked for clarification multiple times to confirm the unprotected pick was indeed part of the deal. It got to the point where Hawks General Manager, Onsi Saleh, called Joe Dumars directly to confirm for himself. The Hawks waited nervously for Dumars to confirm, hoping he would not realize what was going on and walk the trade back. But the Pelicans persisted and the Hawks got their steal.
This is pretty incredible. Weaver and Dumars probably not the most successful GMs we've seen in recent years, and now they get to join forces!

I understand he's coming off an injury but that's a discount for sure.

Just let KPJ cook. Dude did more than enough the second half of the season to show what he can do. He was running circles around the rest of the team. Keep Chris Paul away from Kpj, Giannis, Bobby, Doc, and the Bucks. Kpj ballin out, doing his own thing is what makes him so good. Him having to slow down and think about every move Chris Paul's old @$$ is telling him, and getting b!#%ched at for not listening on the regular, while Paul is trying to get a starting spot back would be annoying to watch.

You don't bring in Paul. Not on Giannis' team.soxperry wrote:paulpressey25 wrote:soxperry wrote:Chris Paul wants to start
Lol
I’d do it if those were the terms.
Guessing however that the team promised Porter the starting slot.
Kpj is a combo guard so theoretically he could start at the 2. But if he were promised, im assuming it wasnt just a spot but a role. So if the told him starting pg, then thats that. But maybe thats why you bring in Paul to mentor kpj.

Is Rondo still with the team in some capacity? Because Rondo is the exact guy I would want mentoring KPJ. Teach him some of the tricks of the trade without sacrificing his aggression.

I agree. Let him cook. I assume they will probably stagger Giannis and KPJ similarly to how they did with Giannis and Dame. They are the only two guys who can both create and play make for others. But they should still both start and both close.
How **** nice is it that we can now close with a lineup full of guys who can all play defense without sacrificing offense? God damn.. i loved watching Dame shoot but it was miserable watching him on defense knowing that he's almost never going to make a difference.

Can't believe so many people on here want CP3 in Milwaukee. Career loser whose 40 and can't guard anyone. He wouldn't be coming to play some mentor role to KPJ.

Landale would be a way better Jokic backup than JV.

Chris Paul would be a great backup PG as long as he understands his role. Not a huge fan of him, but for a vet minimum contract, it’s a good deal for us.

Naaaah, like others said, he's old, can't defend, and is a loser.
I love what we got going into this season!

He thinks he should start, as shootingtheJ has said we don't need a ball pounding PG.

Some of you have playoff derangement syndrome. Paul would be extremely valuable there. That’s all that matters. Jesus Christ
