As previously mentioned, Washington has shown interest.

Probably someone like Kispert plus the 2030 pick back.
Is probably the goal GS should set in a Kuminga return. Young cheaper talent that might allow you to still have the NTPMLE (Kispert? Ellis and Carter) and a little draft capital (2030 pick back, lotto protected first from Sac that turns to two 2nds after a couple years).
More realistic than the fantasies of some team paying Kuminga $20-30 mil and giving up a key asset like Murray or Herb Jones for the privilege

They seem to want to move Kispert (just under 14 mil) in some type of trade so I'm sure his name will be in some trade package to GS. Kispert still is on a 3+1 (team option, smallish descending contract) and could be a great value player if a team has a role for him. Kispert's last 2 years is just barely over 13 mil. Kispert did not start any games last season.
Getting the 2030 pick back could be huge as a post-Curry draft pick.

Would you rather have Holmes on an expiring? A little older, not a spread shooter but a decent inside presence.

Me personally, no, he'll be 32.
If... and that's a big if, if you think Kispert can do well in the GS offense try to get him and since he's under team control for the next 4 seasons, as the cap goes up, his salary comes down from just under 14 mil to just over 13 mil and could make good value trade piece in the future to flip after the Curry era is over.
Looking at Kispert's catch and shoot 3s for his 4 years in the league (rookie to now)...
36.5% on 3.9 3pa
42.9% on 4.7 3pa
39.0% on 4.9 3pa
37.0% on 4.6 3pa

The Dubs would likely prefer to have another pick instead of their own 2030 pick. That pick is protected 1-20. Post Curry, that pick is almost 100% guaranteed to come back anyway. Settling on getting this pick back would simply be further testament to Kuminga's diminished value.

Great info, did not know that. Trade all available FRP for value while protecting them for the top 20!

Good point. If he doesn't regress his contract could age pretty nicely.

Seems Sacramento is going to look to extend Ellis during the season as a core piece to this team and with that, doesn't look like he'd be in a Kuminga trade.

Posturing being done on both sides

I honestly don't hate it. Would rather have Kispert and a FRP than Saric and Carter or whatever. Not saying it's ideal but they've got to break this dam soon one way or another and there's not many options. Kuminga coming back for a 1/2 season as a dead man walking sounds like a s*** show they don't need right now.

A lot of rumblings about the Dubs insisting on Keegan Murray as part of any Kuminga trade. This would, of course, be amazing...

I do wonder if Kispert would thrive with better NBA players around him vs all the youth they were pushing and guys like Poole and Kuzma with him not being utilized properly much like Avdija. 2 seasons ago I noticed Avdija having issues (visibly upset on the court) with Poole and Kuzma doing Poole and Kuzma things, could Kispert be better on a different team?
I have no thoughts of Kispert being great, he's just a below average defender although he competes, good 3pt shooter who has a quick release and will take shots well beyond the 3pt line increasing some of the spacing. I think Draymond and Butler can help him defensively look ok since he does compete on the defensive end.
But if you can send Kuminga out with, say some trade assets for a really good player, I say do that, especially if they're going to be good in the post-Curry era.

So in all likelihood everyone agrees Keon Ellis > JK

Posturing. Kings not trying to up an offer to Keegan level, Warriors aren’t settling for the Devin Carter lowball. Trade, if it happens, was always destined to fall somewhere in the middle

Re: Warriors exploring S&T for Kuminga
Keegan's shooting percentage has declined every year since his rookie year. Still only 24 -- though older than Kuminga -- but Kings aren't going to give up on him.
Probably end up overpaying to extend him.
In any event, they'd be dumb to give up the 4th pick of the draft who's had some good moments. Though one reason they didn't have as good as season was that Murray not only failed to show improvement but regressed in shooting percentage.
