Re: Trades and Transactions 2025 IV
Call me crazy - but i wouldn’t mind brining Precious back to round out the roster. And i could see him being a 20-ish minute inning eating center that ends up stating (with Mitch playing 20MPG and 8MPG with Towns at C). You need to load manage Mitch all season long. Since we know both Mitch and KAT will miss some time, there are Hurkporti minutes available.
Brunson/Bridges/Anunoby/Towns/Precious
Clarkson/McBride/Hart/Yaba/Robinson
Kolek/Dadiet/Hukporti
Deep team

I would trade Hart for sure. He completely took our offense out of rhythm in the playoffs, and at 19M a year, we need someone w/ more offensive game/ more reliable shooting
would love to bring Grimes back (DiVo too). 25, can shoot, defend, and create off dribble. would be a no-brainer if they could actually swing it
I’m not really sure what the Hart market is right now. And frankly, as someone who was in favor of breaking up the wings all season, I’m leaning towards just rolling with the team given the landscape of the East.
I think the organization did a good job of using the tax MLE to add a quality rotation player. And Jordan Clarkson is an upgrade over Cam Payne. So you have 9 playoff caliber guys, and hopefully some of the younger players can be capable of giving minutes here and there.
Do I love that this team is capped out with no future picks, of course not, but hard to say they aren’t one of the favorites to win the east this year.

Listened to the pod and it seemed like windy shot down the lebron to Knicks part mostly. I assume this is just strictly Giannis.
Obviously we have some Depth now but if it’s true the Knicks have still reached out to some
Vet free agents I’d assume a consolidation trade would be happening. I just don’t know what the bucks would want. Especially if the rumors of Knicks wanting to pair giannis to towns and Brunson.
I’d assume both OG and bridges goes out and then maybe Mitch re routed elsewhere for another wing.
Brunson / deuce / ? / Giannis / towns
Kolek / Clarkson / dadiet / Yabusele/ Huk
Is that really worth it. I mean giannis is yes. But I feel like that depth gets cooked
Giannis gotta make the move tho. Bucks aren't trading 1 of the best players in franchise history/league history without him asking out. he's a cash cow, esp. given that Giannis is an international player
what's he waiting for tho? he's given the Bucks everything and now they are maxed out talent-wise. signing CP3 and Beal won't turn them into a contender, he needs to ask out
I get the feeling Leon would keep KAT since he was his agent and they are close. a potential deal probably centers around OG, Mikal, Hart, and/or Mitch, which is cool w/ me b/c Brunson, KAT, Giannis + a bunch of vet mins would still be the best team in the NBA
Giannis....c'mon man. ask out, and ask to be traded to the Knicks. NYC has a big greek community, no better place
Giannis is getting paid well by the Bucks. He's already achieved something most players never see, a title. And he's been loyal to them throughout his NBA career. I don't see him suddenly asking out.

he'll get paid well regardless of where he plays. loyalty, sure, but then why have we had this drama the last 2-3 offseason wondering if Giannis is going to stay?
if he wants to win another ring, he should ask for a trade

The drama answer is simple. Writers looking for clicks.

maybe, but I don't think it's as simple as that. The Bucks are in a tough spot, they're good enough to make the playoffs but only b/c of Giannis, their complimentary pieces are below-avg. and they're not real contender + Doc Rivers is the head coach, so I think we all know that any of his teams will get knocked out 1st round, conference semi's at best
Lebron has left to go to better situations, KD as well, multiple times. Giannis, if he wants to win another ring, will have to do the same. question is, when does he come to this realization

I hope it happens, but Robinson is the starter.

Any rational person should have already had this realization by now so now it’s just a matter of if he even cares about winning another one or just wants to coast and get paid and be comfortable staying where he’s at. At some point it becomes a criticism of his desire to win the longer he goes without leaving. Good news for him is that he’s already won once so there’s not as much pressure as other players in that position. And he can very easily chalk it up to “loyalty” as a reason not to leave

LeBron and KD are ring chasers pure and simple.

I'd rather use the 19M salary towards a starter (or finisher), who can be relied on in playoff basketball

Hart sucked against Ind... but I blame Thibs for keeping someone on the court who's sucking up the place. When Obi made ONE mistake, Thibs would yank his ass like he had on gasoline drawers. Hart turns the ball over 3 times, misses open shots or refuses to shoot. Yet Thibs keeps him out there. Hart is a glue guy that's valuable. A starter-- or someone to be relied upon for 30+ minutes he is not. With that said... I'm still not just 'throwing' him away via trade. His value goes beyond mere minutes on the floor

Re: Trades and Transactions 2025 IV
Call me crazy but the next move to put this team over the top would be to trade Mitch to Chicago along with the draft rights to Rokas Jokubaitis and a couple of picks for Coby White.
Starting 5- Brunson-White-Bridges-Anunoby-Towns
Bench 5- McBride-Clarkson-Hart-Yabusele-Hakporti
What Mitch brings won't be effective if they plan on playing a faster paced game with more emphasis on offense rather than defense. White would be the secondary ball handler we need who can score and create next to JB, let's Hart go back to the bench where they would have a strong, hard nose unit.

Always liked Precious. Felt he had the best defense against Siakim in last years playoffs and I was wondering why we never gave him a go this year. He seemed unhappy about his mins towards the end of the season though and I don't blame him. Is he open to returning on a vet min and playing for Mike Brown instead of Thibs?

Different kind of player, but Yubu gives the new coach an option that Thibs didn't have. Someone who can playmake when Hart is pulled.
Clarkson provides some of the dribble drive/ballhandling in the secondary role that would make a coach not want to pull Hart also.
The fact that Bridges is really a 3 and OG plays like a 4 is still an issue. Hart being who is he just compounds things.
That's on the front office.

A better question is why would he come here when he can get more playing time elsewhere?

If he comes here, they definitely should give him a nice role. Starting spot not guaranteed. Maybe a shot at the ring?
