After that there is almost no one worth watching besides Essengue. Poplar and Olbrich, i have mild interest in, everyone else doesn't stand a chance and i have no care for.

I couldn't disagree more. I think this is one of the most interesting SL rosters we've ever had.

I just don't see it, I mean outside of Essengue what is Freeman-Liberty the best player? That sucks since he can't even make last years **** roster, i guess fifth time for him is the charm with us?

Summer League should be about undrafted free agents and guys under 23 trying to find a place. Honestly anyone over 23 has had their chance to showcase their skills at this point and is kinda a waste of time, very rare occasions do we find a "gem" over 23

I agree.. I wish NBA had some rule, that only players under 23 or maybe including 23yrs old can play in SL.

Fantastic roster.

Some overall thoughts

-Love having Young and Miller there they both can score
-Olbrich will eventually be on the 15 man roster. I get that he is a ho-hum athlete and not the most exciting guy but he's fantastic in transition and can do everything ok. That's fine for an end of the rotation big that averages 10 minutes.
-Yuki is as fun as it gets, so glad we got him
-I am hearing everyone's take on JFL but he will be on Windy City again, and playing with Young, Olbrich and Miller-so why not role that out. Also this is really more and more practice for Noa, the only one who will be on the 15 man roster this year (outside of Matas who won't play all the games). Noa's role won't be to score a bunch so if he's on the floor helping to facilitate that eases him into his 2025-2026 role. I get the idea that you want him to develop his own scoring skills but that's not happening 2 weeks after the draft.
-Can't wait to dig into everyone else.
-You probbaly have the WC Bulls starters right there
1-Young
2-JFL
3-Miller
4-Olbrich
5-Muoka

Then you are hopeful Primo, Grill, Poplar and Yuki end up on that roste.r

I wonder if Primo has his personality disorder in check? Can't have him exposing his junk again. The kid had some talent. I think he was a 5 Star recruit coming out of high school.

First time watching Yuki, He's the kind of guy you want around in practice because he rewards everyone who is constantly moving so they learn that by playing with him.

Probably because they value him being around the coaches and practicing more than the actual games.

Sure, I just don't see the benefit of playing him one game. There's no upside in that. He's not developing chemistry with Essengue. He's not getting meaningful practice being "the man". It just seems like he's being opened up to injuries for no real reason. If it's about the coaching, he can do that without playing in just one game.

Looks like a high IQ gritty player. Too bad he's 26. And we don't have any roster spots anyway.

The kid is a passing wizard. The summer league team looks like it might be fun to watch.

Unfortunately we won't be seeing Harper. Got hurt. SAS said they hope to have him back by Vegas.

Who's our top pick for summer League/G league player who Billy should be giving minutes to but isn't.

Also known as the Free Bitim award.

I'm going to go with Wooga Poplar
eMar arnell eRozen... The "D" stands for "Defence"

I look for 2 things in summer league play. Wow plays and Big Fundamentals.

Wow plays
Matas Dunk
Essengue athleticism, ability to run the floor, help defense, length
Perreira, above-the-rim ability on offense
Yuki passing

Big Fundamentals
Olbrach is solid all around; he will have a long professional career, probably in the NBA, but will likely always be a fringe roster guy, so he might just play in Europe or Australia. He's a limited athlete, but historically, you could get away with that with bigs; not sure that's the case anymore.
William Hickey played sparingly but was solid. This makes sense; he's 26 and has played professionally.

Then there is also the negative standouts. For me so far that's just Poplar, he's a hot mess.

Every movement looks awkward, I get that this is in essence their biggest job interview, but that guy is unsettled.

I hadn't watched a ton of his game but he seems to fall in that second category and is probably pressing so hard to show he should be in the first category he's failing his audition. Wouldn't be surprised if he settles in on WCB and is an ok guy to have around
