I mean if switching teams and leading them to titles with all new rosters/hc is so easy to do then what stopped MJ from doing it in 98? He was so scared of trying it that he retired rather than even try to do it. Why? Because he was too scared to tarnish his carefully manicured legacy and didn't wanna play without the Phil/Scottie safety blanket. Just like when he knew he was running low on energy or drive he retired in 93. MJ just chose to retire yet again when things didn't seem perfect to him. That's a reality that you just refuse to acknowledge because you place him on such a pedestal.

If he was so scared of legacy tarnishing, then why did he end up joining the worst team in the league?

I can understand why you may prefer LeBron to be retired.

But what unbiased argument do you have that the NBA would be in a better place without him?

Or do you not understand the attention he brings to the league? Either directly with the audience watching the games he is in or indirectly through revenue through ticket sales, jersey sales, attention through numerous platforms.

Do you think all the people watching LeBron just turn their attention to Jokic who absolutely loves the limelight? How about quiet Shai? Non American Giannis? Father of ten children Edwards?

*** cue the creating superteams argument despite superteams being around forever AND superteams fueling eyes to the NBA in the 2010s ***

Imagine the amount of crying LeBron and his fans would be doing if he had to win a title with the oldest team in the league, and the second best player was a 19 ppg scorer who played 44 games.

You would never see it, because he would have abandoned ship and moved across the country way before that point.

LeBron starts passive aggressive tweeting and stuff when his 3rd best player is in the 18-19 range lol

At age 39 after 3 years away there was no expectations on him. It's not like he was coming off of being league mvp/fmvp. He was barely a top 30 player.

Cleveland needs to say eff it and go for it. Bring LeBron to pair him with Mitchell. They are not winning with their core

I agree there. And while im a Homer MJ guy, i do not hold anything against Lebron at this point and haven't for a couple years now. Once your at like 38 or so, your playing with house money. Nobody should be expected to carry teams to a championship at his age. Everyone from his class has been cooked and gone for years now. I don't believe theres anyone left from the draft class AFTER him either, and 05 i think only CP3 remains, and hes been a shell of himself for a good 4 or so years now (his OKC year was the last year he was good)

I know theres alot of true haters that don't see it this way though

Just let him be. Not everything he does or where he is needs to be analyzed.

Jordan started with Bulls, then joined Birmingham Barons, back to Bulls, then finished at Wizards.

LeBron started with Cavs, then joined Miami Heat, back to Cavs, then finished at Lakers.

Is standing in a photo really indicative of a desire to switch teams?

Anyone else kinda shocked at the dad bod? I remember in Miami he looked like a statue, and now his stomach looks kinda saggy. It's a little weird to see because I'm use to this guy being ripped.

To be fair, especially later in their careers many have …

Shaq played for so many teams, including 2/3 (Orlando, lakers, Miami) while still in his prime (similar to LeBron) and another 3 outside of his prime (suns, Celtics, cavs).

He absolutely courts speculation and rumor mongering lol. I’m not sure it’s an ego thing, a business thing, or keeping his team on their toes thing, but he definitely throws out little breadcrumbs to stir the pot when he’s a little uneasy about the situation, which was the reason for that weird ass statement from Rich Paul after opting in.
