I tried to get Chicago tickets, failed, and will not be going because I like Oasis but not '$500 for nosebleeds' like.

I saw them at the Allstate arena in Chicago during their last tour here in 2008. Ryan Adams opened. Really good. But I also draw the line at those prices, especially in a stadium.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm excited to spend my entire day streaming the Backing to the Beginning Ozzy/Black Sabbath concert. Metallica, Guns and Roses, Alice in Chains, Pantera, Halestorm...

But I wish I was there. Tried like hell to get tickets

Yeah that should be fun. I'm booked off and on for the day or I would have been streaming it too.

My early report is the live stream looks and sounds awesome, and I need to check out Rival Sons sometime.

Agreed. I spent 10 hours in front of the TV, and loved it.

Ha, no. That would have been great. I watched half this morning, did some grilling and boating, and just finishing the other half now. I need to listen to Rival Sons it looks like, they sound like a band I'd like. Lamb of God isn't my kind of music but they were really great. David Draiman was a dead fish up there.Who the **** is Yungblud? Everything in the last couple hours is amazing.

Wife and I are gonna bite the bullet and buy GA seats for $600-700 now that we were able to confirm Liam's voice sounds good. I "won" the lottery last year but everything was gone by the time my number was up.

They're my favorite band and I was a bit too young to see them before they originally broke up. Have seen Noel live 3 time post Oasis and he's always excellent. Seeing Noel and Liam together (with Bonehead) is something I need to splurge on.

Speaking of vocalists sounding good, Steven Tyler's voice sounding incredible on Saturday was incredibly suspicious, right?

Noel's great - love a few High Flying Birds songs. If I Had A Gun is one of my favorites.

Agreed 100%. Great song. Don't know if you have ever caught him live but the guy sounds better with every passing year. I actually like his voice better than Liam's and I was a big fan of all of the NGHFB releases. Council Skies was a really good album after a somewhat disappointing release in Who Built the Moon.

I know it's been cool forever to rip on Oasis but Noel is a genius songwriter. Some of these songs he's been playing around with for 30 years before he officially releases them. From what I read, Noel played lead guitar the first 2 gigs which is something he hasn't done in 25 years. By all accounts, they worked their ass off to get ready for this when most of the naysayers said it was just a cash grab.

Bit late to the party but What's the Story was one of my favorites during my formative HS years. I saw them at the Eaglesw Ballroom during that tour. Wild set, someone threw their shoe at Liam and he yelled at us all and said if we threw anymore shoes we weren't getting anymore songs.

Anyway, also saw them at Allstate Arena in Chicago - nosebleeds - late 90s as well.

They are...how you say...underwhelming live. But that was 30 years ago. This Oasis looks and sounds different, which is odd to me, because I'd assume with age comes reduction in Liam's (and Noel's) voice(s). They don't run around on stage. They just sorta sit there. But when Liams puts his arm behind his back and waddles up to the mic from below to belt out "Hello, Hello, It's good to be back, it's good to be back" I'm gonna lose my **** like a 14 year old again.

I'm seeing them at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on 9/6. I have 1 extra ticket that I'm happy to sell for face or *slightly* less to someone here if interested (5L row 11, nice seats if you're in your 40s or older, lol). PM me if you're interested. I'd rather sell to someone here than a rando on stubhub. Cheers!

*side note* Supergrass is playing the Palladium Friday night in LA. So you could make it a 2'fer weekend (I know I am...).

**super side note** - MD, Ryan Adams opening for them is a crazy pairing.

Rival Sons is indeed quite good. They’ve been my, “need something a bit harder” for awhile. I don’t delve into metal anymore other than King Gizzard’s metal-ish albums.

Went to Oz Fest a couple times back at Alpine in 99 and 00. 99 was Sabbath reunion tour and it was amazing.

Just to be clear, that's the Marcus Center (formerly the PAC). The Marcus Amphitheater is on the Summerfest grounds.

Keep an eye on the weather. Could potentially be very stormy tonight.
