It looks like JV would rather not go to Denver to back up Joker. It seems he'd like to accept a Greek offer.

He is still under guaranteed contract, so Denver would have to be complicit in this, if I'm not mistaken.

JV would have to void his contract and Denver would get his rights should he want to comeback. I guess playing in Greece fr $5 million would be the same as $10 million in the NBA since no taxes.

Mmm, indeed, though I understand now that the deal isn't official until Sunday, so they have until then to try and convince him to stay or they can rescind the trade, yes?

Really that money savings might be a godsend. They would be like $11 million under the luxury tax.

PG Murray - Brown
SG Braun - THJr - Strawther
SF Cam - Watson
PF Gordon - Nnaji
C Jokic - Holmes

Just by playing more guys and installing a more fluid, less iso, offense, he's going to have an effect like Atkinson did with Cavs. Only with playoff success on top.

They added some nice bench pieces. I like the guy who played in Philly last year.

East is wide open. Knicks can come out of the East with Boston and Indiana taking steps back. I do like Orlando a lot. Cleveland can’t be forgotten as well. Should be competitive.

Like all coaches I think Mike Brown will have some short term success there unless he’s completely screwed the pooch or injuries. Long term I think he struggles to stay.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

He's like Tom Thibodeaux from Wish. Weak offensive coaching, with decent defensive coaching. Perhaps a little better at relating to his guys, and probably won't be quite as bad about playing his guys until the wheels come off. We'll see how well he lasts.

He also tends to overplay his guys like Thibs.

Before he was fired in SAC, Fox was averaging close to 38 mins and Sabonis/Demar/Murray were around 35-36.

He's a fine coach, not sure how much of a difference he will make compared to Thibs other than being a new voice.

Yes, but I'm hoping he won't be as bad about it in the playoffs with the Knicks. But that could be delusion, lol. I have a very dim view of Mike Brown. In my view, he's the reason the Spurs swept the Cavs in 07 instead of that being any sort of interesting series. His "offense" was so embarrassing, a grade school-age child should have known better.

Lowe and Beck had a nice segment on this. He is a bit easier to work with (both player and the FO) and has a bit more range to him given his seemingly transformational stop at GSW. But as Lowe pointed out, he is not beating the league's best tacticians on the Xs and Os in a playoff series.

I do wonder if they had to get rid of Thibs to downgrade Rick Brunson a bit and get more creative assistants in there?

Oklahoma has signed Jalen Williams to a max deal, which means they now have 3 max deal players - I'm willing to bet that one of those 3 players will be traded before all 3 max are applicable in 26-27.
