I hope we invite a bunch of PG's and PF's (outside of Fleming) - if just 1 sticks that would be awsome.

Ryan Dunn is NOT on the Suns Summer League roster (at least for now).

Oso is there.

Sam Cooper:
Easily the most highly anticipated Suns SL since Ayton/Bridges in 2018.

2 sophomores (Dunn/Oso)
2 rookies (Maluach/Fleming)
2 two-ways confirmed (Brea/Huntley)

And an open 2way spot for others to fight for.

Really cool that they brought in Brandon Angel for the summer league!! He was another prospect of high interest we should be keeping an eye on.

At 6'9, he's a high IQ, versatile floor spacing forward in a similar archetype mold as Cam Johnson himself. He'd definitely give us offensive creativity and floor spacing to compliment our bigs.

Is Maluach shrinking ? I thought he's 7'2".

All players of interest seems to be PF/C and Brea a shooter. Are you familiar with any of the PGs ? Anyone good at passing the rock on this team ? Not that I expect some great execution in SL games, but still good to have a capable playmaker.

Yeah. Most are basically scoring guards with very minimal ancillary skillsets outside of that:

- Jordan Gainey is more defense oriented, a really solid defender and ok shooter, but not really good at much else.

- Alex Schumaker is a pretty good shooter, but not above average at anything else.

- Khalif Battle and Boogie Ellis are both known for their scoring, athleticism, crafty slick ballhandling and quickness. Kind of like Stephon Marbury archetypes, but not really anything outlier to their games. Both have decent but not great size at 6'3.

- Mitch Miscari is a really impressive shooter/ scorer that is an undersized shooting guard who sometimes masquerades as a point guard but is meh at most everything besides shooting.

- Yuri Collins. Collins is really the only true playmaker on this summer league roster and is actually a gifted playmaker with very impressive court vision/ passing acumen. He's undersized at 6'0 very very cerebral, kind of like Chris Paul. Only obviously not as elite of a ballhandler or scorer. He led the NCAA in assists not long ago.

He's very much in the Tyus Jones archetype. Overall, our summer league guard lineup is underwhelming and meh.

I thought Dunn was closer to 6'8" by the end of last season, so I'm not shocked. I'm really high on RD. I'm hoping he tears up the summer league. In last year's SL, he looked more like Ryan Dudd... or Done. As in toast. Hopefully his performance in the season finale portends good things to come. (I recall that the Archie Goodwin experience peaked with his rookie year season finale.)

I haven't gotten to watch any SL games yet but despite our meh guard situation, I could see us contending for the SL championship. Malach, Fleming and Dunn could be the best frontcourt. Seems like a good situation for a guy like Yuri Collins. Hopefully Yuri makes the best of it and gets invited to camp.

Just started watching some summer league highlights and fellas, Whew! We have dodged a bullet. Thank God VJ Edgecomb is in the Eastern Conference. I didn't pay too much mind leading up to the draft but this dude? My comp as of this moment is Michael Jordan. YIKES!

I am really looking forward to seeing the frontline of Dunn, Fleming and Maluach. They are going to cause some really havoc the defensive end.
Just say no to idiots!!

Yeah, it’s gonna be an exciting defensive team.

I expect to start with:

Collins
Brea
Dunn
Oso
Maluach

Collins is a pure fist-pass PG who can settle the table for his teammates.

Brea is a must in the starting lineup because we lack 3p shooting.

Dunn needs to show us this improvement on offense and keep playing amazing defense.

Oso and Maluach can play together. Oso can defend PFs and play as a C on offense. Maluach can open the court with his 3p shooting.

Fleming would be my 6th man playing minutes next to Oso or Maluach.

Huntley needs to play some minutes per game too but probably not more than 5/10 minutes.

I can't wait to see them. Let's win Summer League to start this new era.

I would hate to see Oso starting next to Maluach. I know KM can shoot, but I'd like to see him used as a big man. Put Fleming in there - he can shoot and put the ball on the floor.

I remember when Obama was running for president the first time, some cranky old lady was interviewed and asked why she was voting for McCain and her response was "it's the whole Hussein thing. I've had enough of Hussein".

I'm assuming that's how the Kings feel about the name Boogie.
