No apologies if posted already. Gotta shoutout one of ours for the work he did/does. Congrats, Smitty! Continue conquering and prospering!
If you’re a spotrac regular, then you should be familiar with the work he does there. I think he was part of the team that made their trade machine and he keeps the numbers there updated apart from the cap/CBA articles he puts out.

I have my head fully around Queta as our starting Center, with Williams and Garza getting some run.
Lots of competition or uncertainty on who gets minutes at the 4 until Tatum is back…Hauser, Niang, Walsh, Garza, Minott…who steps up?

Not that we should or shouldn’t, but what are the deadlines for signing Simons to an extension?

Not a bad thing if Queta becomes a starter.
But anything can happen from now until October.
What if Giannis wants Boston?

Similar with JB a couple of years ago.
It's October 20.
I would be surprised if Cs extend Simons.

The Simon’s trade isn’t finalized yet…..

Me as well. I suspect they want to keep options open, see how he fits, keep him as a potential trade piece etc.

Gosh the Lakers are really a mess.
Do we think that we were one of the teams that inquired and what would a trade for him need to include?

JB is a bird in the hand, so to speak.
If we get a lottery pick, it could be anything, even JB!

Percentages say it won't.

Who needs to win one playoffs series next year? Better to develop the guys and prepare for having Tatum back.
I just don't get why some keep saying Tatum will not be back in 2026.
If the Cs are a playoff team, Tatum will be back in March.
Even mainstream media is not ruling out a Tatum return in 2026.
Only way Tatum does not return is if the Cs are bad by trade deadline.
Everyone close to the team and player says it’s a possibility. Random posters on here say “trust me bro, he’s not coming back we need to do a (insert here) tank.”
You callin' me a rando?

This is why a “proper” tank takes 3-5 years. The people advocating a full tear down don’t understand this. The Celtics would be trading the primes of three stars for the opportunity to draft their replacements which isn’t guaranteed

I'm calling you Rajon Rando, tank pilot!

Trades will start going official tomorrow starting 12pm et so if we don’t hear about simons/niang getting moved by today they’re likely staying on the roster for a bit. If they had a trade lined up to move them somewhere, we should hear about it today

Ladies and gentlemen. The center rotation is quests, Garza, Tillman and maybe Amari.
Most likely, Amari ain't getting any significant burn. He's a two way.
Whoever wins the job between Quetta, Tillman and Garza wins the job.
My expectations for Amari are ...0.

Not necessarily. Until the trade is with the league, it is still open to deal making. We'll see what Happens when the trade goes through.

I’m really miffed that I can’t watch and enjoy Simons highlights. Blows my mind that we’re going to send him off. Part of me believes it’s because of Pritchard and starting. One is a starter and one wants to be. Who will you sit? Can’t sit Simons and depress his value, especially if you want him back on a new deal, he’ll want to go somewhere else and start. Pritchard would be upset.
NAME ON THE FRONT OF THE JERSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(!)

Agreed, although it will also depend on how quickly the other teams want to finalize the trade so they can move onto other business.
But JB's extension took weeks to get done.

Without advocating either way, would extending Simons affect how easy it would be to trade him? Might he have more value not being an expiring? I guess it would depend on what he was extended for.
For the record, I would like to see him start the season with us. I want to see what he looks like. There's always the deadline if we need to get off him.
