That wasn't a bad shot by VJ given the degree of difficulty from the bad inbounds.

What a debut. Kid was everywhere. Lots and lots of good. We already knew he had to work on the things that fell alil flat. Very happy with his first game

VJ feels like he'll be able to get his own shot whenever he wants because of his quickness and his feel for the game, he just needs to work on the jumper and tightening up his handle(which actually looked good tonight). Once he works on the shot off the dribble, he will be hard to stop.

I'm joining the chorus on this one. That was a fantastic debut for our 3rd overall pick. VJ looked like one of the most composed guys out there in his first game as a rookie and in the chaos that is a summer league game 1 when the team had almost no practice time. Extremely excited to see him next to our other high IQ innate feel guards Maxey and McCain.

VJ is gonna force himself into the starting lineup with Maxey and Grimes. We’ll play a ton of 3-guard lineups this year.

His name is literally Valdez.

Hoping VJ hits the weights and gets more consistent shooting for the remainder of the offseason after SL.

If so, the rotation of Maxey, McCain, and VJ is going to be lethal. Add Grimes and there will always be offensive firepower on the floor to get us through non-Embiid (fingers crossed) minutes.

Last time he hit the weights his shot got funky and needed tweaking. That's my only concern. But sky is the limit for this kid.

Well hopefully it'll be with a team of world class trainers who know what they're doing. Definitely hope it's not with some guy named Keith Williams.
