Rankings:
1. OKC
2. Houston
3. Cleveland
4. Knicks
5. Wolves
6. Warriors
7. Nuggets
8. Lakers
9. Spurs
10. Celtics
11. Bucks
12. Magic
13. Pistons
14. Clippers
15. Philly
I am being conservative with San Antonio but I could see them being a top 5 team as soon as next year. Similar to where the Rockets were this year but with Wemby instead of Jalen Green. Putting them in 9th for now.

They lost 4 of their top 6 guys. With a 5th coming off surgery.
I'd be genuinely shocked if Boston finishes top 3 in the East, in 2026.

Thunder - Champions
Cavs - Best regular season
Rockets - most improves roster
Nuggets - Best player

Spurs - Wemby and great front office
Magic - Bane lifts their offense
Warriors - Curry, Butler and continuity
Clippers - Health dependent but Kawhi is still great
Toronto - A lot of "mid" players who can make a jump
Pistons - Linear improvement from last season
Boston - Still talented
Philly - Talented but serious injury issues

Just my preliminary thoughts so far. Obviously, more stuff is going to happen. With regards to the WC, I am a bit unsure because these records will pretty much depend on who dominates the bottom third of the league. That's why I expect Houston to have a great record.

I have them as 6th or 7th in the East. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible they could finish top 3 just because of how bad the East really is. Jaylen Brown and Derrick White are pretty underrated on here. Granted it’s extremely unlikely but people are acting like this team will finish worse than the Nets or Wizards. That’s not happening.

This is pretty much how I see it -- although I'd swap Indiana and Detroit, and as usual there's at least a half-dozen teams just below who might replace any of these 12 if/when there are significant injuries
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

I argued before the draft OKC should go for PJ Washington, and go for 75 wins. Why not be an epic/rememberable team. With that depth (PJ would complete them) they'd be all set, 2 deep at every spot with quality

I am quite fluid within tiers. Teams like Philadelphia are hard to peg, but I assume Embiid isn't healthy. I factor realistic health into the equation with Golden State, if Butler/Curry each play 70 games, they are probably in the next tier up as Contenders. A Healthy Wemby could be a Top 5 player in the NBA, an MVP candidate, and the Spurs could be a contender.
Like last year, I have no reason to think Cleveland/Oklahoma City aren't ahead of everyone in the regular season.
