Would we even be allowed to sign Middleton right now if he got bought out or is it a thing where you have to wait a year? Of course bringing him back on a vet min would be awesome, **** it ride off into the sunset.

That depends on the number for me. If he leaves for a cheap deal then yeah I agree 100%. If someone else believes in him the way some Bucks fans do, I could understand both sides where Rollins bolts and the Bucks watch him leave.

Yes the only restriction we have is that we have to wait a year after he was traded to sign him.

The team that buys him out I'm not sure but that's not really relevant to us

I think if the Bucks can get Beal then I don't think they go after Paul. Paul can definitely help on offense as a slower tempo version of T.J. McConnell while also being a high level distrubuter. The problem is on the defensive end.

One question that may need to be asked is if Rollins should be on the squad even if it meant cutting AJax?

Do we think it’s as simple as Horst could get Kuminga if he wants to?

2031 first + Ajax + Kuzma in a sign and trade.

Warriors get at least one athlete if only to help during the regular season slog. Kuz goes elsewhere in a multi-team trade if they don’t want him.

Whether the upgrade is worth it to the Bucks is a completely different question of course! It’d be expensive with the added dollars and years Kuminga would require on his contract even aside from the assets we’d have to trade.

Based on what I saw last year, I would prefer Rollins over Ajax

Someone working at CHSN must be an undercover Bucks fan lol. I'd do this in a heartbeat if that pick is protected. Makes no sense for Chicago.

Half the bulls fans think he just had a good string of games last season and he's not that good in reality and that they should move him while they still can. The other half think he's gonna be the number 1 option of their team going forward...

If we assume its correct that the Bucks, Lakers, Clippers, Heat, Nuggets and Warriors are the 6 teams in the market for Beal. I think the Bucks, Lakers, Clippers and Nuggets can only offer the minimum. The Heat I'm pretty sure can offer the full MLE and Golden State can maybe also offer the MLE. If he's being stretched rather than bought out, he may care less about the money because he's not looking at a contract to recoup what he gave up in the buyout.

Of the 6, I think Miami is the favorite. They can offer him the best combination of money and playing time.

His shooting ability needs to pick up to play with Giannis. If I were the Bucks I'd lean to going after Grimes at $22-25m than a younger version of Kuzma getting paid $28m-30m

Not a year, just until the next league year. Which it now is.

Ohhhh

I wonder if this was the plan the entire time. I know I'm getting way ahead of myself but i think that recalibrates how people would feel about that trade if Midds comes back on min and then signs whatever next offseason (along with being able to add Turner)

That is the case. But that doesn't mean there will be more moves made immediately. We're only 6 days into the league year. I think the Rollins deal gets done soon but trades, if any more are made, don't necessarily happen right away.

so could you explain one scenario that would require an official deal being announced before they could progress on a trade? i feel like the only thing that this would delay is being able to trade a player that was just signed (since it's not yet official). But none of those players can be traded for months now anyway. So i dont understand.

Any trade that takes back more salary than we send out, which is likely.

Bucks need to get this done

I just think Rollins is a done deal. The Bucks obviously value him. Dont know why they wouldn't do what it took especially considering the money available now
