This trade sums up the NBA perfectly. The most insignificant and ridiculous thing possible but man, oh man, that headline baby!

Do the Lakers or Clippers want him? Maybe he just signs with Lakers, who can trade him at the deadline for a 2nd to a contender. Doesn’t have to spend as much time away from family.

I’m not too excited signing him. Doesn’t seem like he wants much other than a farewell season.

For a 7-team trade that's rather unexciting. I guess PHX will be...interesting?

That's all it took to get Norm Powell?

Barry Jackson tweeted out that the Heat would need to open up a roster sport (then deleted it). There it is. Beal's gonna be going to Miami.

Those Kuzma for Norm deals some were throwing out this weekend weren't so far fetched I guess.

Pretty wild that he wants to go there and now fight for shots between two identical players at his position (Powell and Herro) though.

I thought this was positive for us as with Powell going to Miami, less of a need / glaring spot now for Beal? They now have Herro / Powell / Wiggins at the 2/3?

I don't get that one for the Clippers. Wasn't Powell pretty damn good for them last year?

I don't totally follow. Wouldn't Powell going there make Beal less likely?

If the Heat sign Beal I imagine they trade Herro.

Alternatively if no Beal then Powell makes it easier to trade Wiggins.

Well, the clippers got 28 year old Collins for 32 year old Powell. The Jazz sold Collins for nothing.

LAC also opened up space in the backcourt for CP3 if they go that route:

PG: CP3, Dunn
SG: Harden, Bogdaonvic
SF: Kawhi, Derrick Jones Jr.
PF: Collins, Batum
C: Zubac, BroLo

Not really wild at all.

When has Bradley Beal ever shown that he cares about basketball? He’s going to get bought out to go play around in South Beach.

There were a lot of stretches he was their best player. Despite being a sell high candidate, that's a light return.

Beal doesn't seem like the "I'm going to sign with the team that gives me the best opportunity to play and win" type of fella.
