At some point I thought he is a high energy big, but then I saw him benched in gleague game after showing no effort.

One one hand he hasn't bulked up much, on another hand he hasn't added 3pt shot, nor any ball skills.

Holy negativity Batman. Tell us how you really feel. The Wolves must have saw more in him than you to keep him.

Oh, I am not saying I don't see potential...but I see him as more of a 3/4 tweener than a 4/5. He was drafted as a SF. I loved it when they picked him. A summer league lineup of:

PG Dilly
SG Clark
SF TSJ
PF Miller
C. Beringer

Could be stupid fast and fun to watch, really, Miller could be the 2nd best offensive player in that group behind Dilly...how's that for optimism. If the end up sitting TSJ I would love to see Miller shift to the 3, Beringer to the 4, and Rocco at the 5.

It was Minimus that I was responding to.

I just struggle to classify Miller as a big man... admittedly he would be a PF, and possibly could play with Naz if he flashes, just don't see him ever as a 5. That said, if Miller shows out I think it raises the chances of Julius going bye bye, or Miller...less of a return though.

Two years ago he had almost 38% from 3 on about 5 attempts per game, last year he was about 32%. I am with you, the motor is what bugs me. If he could hit 34-35% from three and give hustle minutes he'd be great off the bench. That hasn't shown up consistently yet.

We will regret passing on Walter Clayton Jr.

I don't think so. I think we will be very happy with Beringer.
I'm not rooting against Beringer and have grown to really like his potential. However, I see PG and 3-point shooting as a much bigger concern for us over the next couple of years than the C position.

I still need to see A LOT more from Dilly before changing my opinion.

Look at the video above your post. Dilly and Joan will be the next Stockton to Malone.

I wish Dilly looked a little bigger. He weighed in at 164 this time last year. Until that kicks up significantly, he has no chance defensively and therefor for consistent minutes, with his lack of length on top of his weight.

In a perfect world Dilly would be 6'9" and 230, but he's NEVER going to weigh more than 180. He's already buff as hell and his body isn't designed for more weight. I don't believe he has to get much heavier to play some passable D. Just stay in front of his man and have quick feet and hands. Good anticipation.

It is obviously a SL overreaction, but I guess he is probably not a big PG that MIN fans have been dreamed for. He struggles to create an advantage in 1v1 situations. He might look better in well structured offense (which MIA is known for) tho, and his defense is not that bad.

I admit I wanted us to take him. Good for us that TC is the GM and not me.

He's definitely living up to the turnover issues.

And the struggle from 3.

My best guess is he'll play one or two games, dominate and not be seen again.

This possibility is why I'm a bit off of the "summer league championship" hype train.....I just don't know how long they'll want to keep him playing if he plays as well as we expect.

However, I do think our experienced guys are well-balanced in that sense. If TJ sits, we have Rob and Leonard to pick up slack. We have offense. We have defense.

I will say, I had Marko Jaric trepidations at one point.

I think winning is nice. However, given that other teams sit their best players as well, it just doesn’t mean much. I am far more concerned with the individual performances and the translatable skills (smart passing, handle, finishing package, BBIQ,) then I am with the score.
