Bryant played last night, had a meh debut by the box score. 3-8 but of that 1-6 from 3, 5 rebounds, 7 fouls. I didn’t see any games other than the Jazz-Sixers.

Anyone notice Nicola Topic’s debut with the Thunder? He was so desired last year by some here despite his injury. He had 14pts, 6-11, 2-4 from 3, 4 assists and (ugh) 7 turnovers. TO’s can run high in SL for obvious reasons. But a pretty good start for him.

Jaku? Phew! 3 points, 1-7, 1 assist, 3 TO.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I didn't see Topic but did see he did his thing stat wise... As for Bryant I doubt he will flourish in summer league. I think he is more of a ROLE player and that type of player shines more in the league itself. Summer league is more for the chuckers lol.

I really like Taran Armstrong as a solid backup tho... Good fundamentals

I watched maybe half the Thunder grizz game. Topic looked solid but rusty.

No idea how he gets actual minutes on Thunder next year tho.

Was surprised to see wells back in action. glad he wasn't out longer.

What I want to see from salaun in Vegas
- I wanna see him eat rebounds, especially on off glass
- wanna see his nba 2k lag down from 2 seconds to 1. No more deer in headlights when he gets the ball
- only shoot 3s when open. Don't force shots
- better rim finishing
- defensive energy on 11
- less 1 on 5 fast breaks

Fair?

Great checklist, especially the well described “lag time”. The NBA game is so fast…you can’t compete if you can’t compute.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Weird for nba to get involved. LeBron controls the most powerful agency, but who cares.

If I were lucky to get to do a documentary on Hairston I think it could go 4 seasons on netflix if I were lucky to get a deal with them

season 1 - High school years (pressures of trying to make UNC)
season 2 - His years at UNC (struggles and decision on whether to go pro) (also seeing the girl of his dreams but only once then running into her later)
season 3 - His successful run at the chip game in summer league (also finds love with the girl he saw in season 2)
season 4 - his bad year in summer league and his feeling inadequate about it (has a family and realizes there is more than basketball)

I don't know him in real life or anything just using my imagination in case I ever decided to try and contact him one day... I talked about it a lil more earlier in the thread. Oh and I <3 too buddy

heat v lakers

- might have dodged a bullet on the knecht trade. i dont see much in his game. currently 0-4 with 0pts at end of 2nd q. 1 reb, 1 ast. its summer league, so lots of selfish play, but would have expected more. did nothing yesterday as well. he's got some burst tho
- ware shooting 3s
- jaku invisible, but playing him off ball alot
- bronny looks decent

I really wish Taran Armsrtong played today. The announcers keep saying he impressed yesterday. I am also impressexd by Will Richard. he has 9 so far at half and all over the place in a positive way defensively

Taran Armstrong is a good prospect. 6'5 flashy and good IQ. Hopefully he plays next game for the Warriors

he's been a bit injury riddled to start his young career. i hope he can stick around on a 2way

I was wondering what happened to Armstrong. I saw him play in person when he was at CBU and heard he had gone back to the NBL. Very fun, unique player who is so crafty with the ball in his hands. Hope he makes it in the league. Will definitely add Warriors as another must watch team in Vegas this coming week.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
