That's $14m over 2 years.

So yeah $7m per season is all he needs to make back. The TaxMLE would mostly cover it.

I think GSW will make a strong play for him and it's holding up their Kuminga aand Horford plans.

Asked Google and got this:

$14m MLE is per season

How long until we see another no trade clause in an NBA contract?

Im sure Miami or such is offering full MLE, but if Dallas dumped Martin/Powell/Hardy, they’d be able to offer Beal 6-7 mil a year? The DLO signing isn’t official official and could be just part of the MLE…

It really depends on what Beal wants, but if he cares about winning and he can get his 7m a year back he lost and end up on a contender that seems ideal.

He should go to a place where he can showcase his game for one last big contract next year when teams have lots of capspace. Washington reunion would be hilarious next offseason

Booker just extended so he's covered for 5 years.

I figured this would proceed the Suns doing the stretch. They wanted to know that if they did it then Booker would see our the 5 years.

WHat exactly is he "showcasing" that teams don't know about him already? This always feels like such a "fan" thought, that isn't real. Like a GM watches him solely on last year and is like yep, he's still got it! Send him big money!

If I was deciding whether or not to give this guy a three year deal this summer for example I’d want to see if he can contribute with a little less ego on a well put together team. He did not show that in PHX. And I think going somewhere to get PT and show that is relevant.

that he can go back to being a 30 ppg player (unlikely) when not playing behind 2 ball dominant scorers in KD and booker

Looks like it’s only a couple million or so per year.

Like 12M or so. I think

Somewhere around $14m I believe. Which I ironically the mid-exception that many teams can sign him for. So he wouldn’t be losing money.

starting next to Giannis and Turner has got to be some incentive for him as well?

much better fit for him to prove his value.

That would be amazing for Bucks but I expect GSW or Miami to get him. City matters to him.

i understand, the city is important for family and he's making the right choice given that so much weight.

BUT.... GSW will be a better situation than Phoenix as Kerr wants the ball moving more but he will again be number 3 scorer trying to fit in.
Miami he is fighting for shots with Herro and I don't see them going as far as Milwaukee could.

Speak to the family about 1 year in Milwaukee, either with them, or he lives away for 8 months. with the money he has, he can make it less painful by easily flying around on private jets for catch ups. go to the Bucks and you become a top 2 team in the east and could make it to the finals.

feels worth it to me. but im a middle aged basketball nut sitting at his keyboard, so easy for me to say.

He'd have to have an MVP caliber season to get another big contract.

Who the next desperate market with a fringe superstar ? Maybe hawks give it to Trae to keep him.

Wizards thought that they could use Beal contract to show other superstars that they look after their stars. An attempt to get superstar FAs.

Just not a good strategy in the NBA.

Trae's iffy. But if Jokic asks for a no-trade clause are the Nuggets saying no?

The only real issue for the guys where it totally makes sense are that it can only be offered on completely new contracts and they usually are signing extensions so that they never become FAs.

After the shock I'm sure Luka felt, wouldn't be surprised to see him ask for one
