6 games and then the break. Hopefully he's ready to go in LA on the 18th.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Freddy an all-star. I thought Yelich had a chance.

Freddy Peralta's turn in the rotation would line up for next Sunday, if that holds that means the Brewers likely won't have any representation in the ASG(which I'm totally ok with)
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

For what little it's worth, Vaughn looked okay in Nashville.

The advanced numbers always liked him a bit more than his on field production. He should never see the field, though he can fill in at 1B. The White Sox dicked around and played him in the OF and he was a disaster. Solid career hard hit rates. Extremely unlucky last year.

He's posted career best minor league numbers across the board in Nashville, but even if he somehow figures it out it would take something ridiculous for him to not be non-tendered this offseason. Because he hits the ball so hard and the Brewers are so thin at 1B I'm hoping for the best. He was a nice flyer so I guess we'll see.

An interesting idea that I think I could get behind

That makes sense. They definitely will want him available for the stretch run and playoffs. If we fall out of it they can just shut him down at some point. There is no time for Cortes to show enough to get anything for him in a trade. I don't think Henderson will be much of an option. Last year he pitched 81 innings. This year between Nashville and MKE he's already at 83.

Interesting article from GMs telling their favorite deadline deal stories.

https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/45661110/mlb-trade-deadline-2025-gms-best-stories-deals-fell-rumors

One popped up about the Brewers.

Before joining the Giants in 2018, Zack Minasian spent 14 years in the Brewers. During one of his seasons under GM Doug Melvin, the team thought it had a deal for one of the game's top pitchers.

Milwaukee was deep in conversations with the Seattle Mariners, who had a former Brewers executive, Jack Zduriencik, serving as GM.

"Jack and Doug were talking about a trade that would have sent Felix Hernandez to Milwaukee," Minasian recalled. "At one point, we thought Jack had agreed to it but he needed to make one other move before we could finalize it.

"It didn't happen, but for an hour we thought we were getting Felix Hernandez. We were nervous, anxious, excited and just waiting."

That is not the only time a trade that failed to come to fruition created a memory for Minasian. After a trade with the Mets involving Wilmer Flores and Zack Wheeler fell through, Minasian ended up at a bar while the front office was looking at other potential deals.

"One of my friends owned a place in Milwaukee," he said. "I got a call from Doug while I was there and I had to go in the basement of the bar where all the liquor is being stored, huddled in the back corner, going through Astros prospects.

"You have to do what you have to do, right?"

7 complete games and 3 shutouts in half a season. He was amazing in his brief stint

CC is what took me from casual into actual...I don't know if diehard is actually the right term, but somewhere in that viscinity. Obviously it closely coincided with the breakout of our new core, all exciting in their own right and they led us for not just this PO season but many more. But CC was electric, must-watch baseball for me. He had gravity (honest comment / not a weight joke). That's what lured me in.

With Miso's first three starts, the closest comparison I have to how it made me feel was watching CC. Not that I needed to be lured back in, but just thinking about the excitement and it being must-watch TV.

What added to the CC fever is that we were trying to break a 26 year playoff drought and thanks to him we did it. His last 3 starts and his playoff start were all on 3 days rest. As a pending free agent he could have balked at that but he did what the team needed (the anti Rickie Weeks). Unfortunately it caught up to him and he had a rough playoff outing.

That CC/Braun game was and probably will always be the best sporting event I've been too. Nothing really comes close.

CC was so goated in that run. I was able to catch either his 2nd or 3rd last start against the pirates and he dominated

Two of Vallejos finest. E-40 and CC. Should’ve formed a sports music & media empire.

I saw CC's first homer as a Brewer.

He was simply electric. I don't think there's ever been a more impactful mid-season addition.

The CC run was probably the greatest carry-job I've ever seen in baseball. Dude basically willed us to the playoffs by himself.

ESPN has trade ideas for stars (including Skenes). For Acuna they say the Brewers should offer SS Jesus Made (No. 5), SS Luis Pena, OF Sal Frelick, RHP Logan Henderson, RHP Abner Uribe

No way

Probably the most exciting run of baseball I have ever seen. Probably on par with the Rockies (maybe around the same time?) where they won like 22 of 23 to make the playoffs to end the season.
