My fave app state hoops memory
1993-94 team, I think, was pretty decent. Chad mclendon.. beat uncc at varsity gym when they had Jarvis Lang who was borderline pro
Then top 20 ranked Nebraska came to boone. Erick Strickland and Eric piatkowski, two nba players and app st beat them.

Last was Frankie king from western Carolina. 2nd round pick I think. Combo guard. He was awesome player. Destroyed app. Best player I ever saw come thru boone. He was undersized sg so it didn't pan out for him. He reminded me of Randolph Childress, my all time fave acc player.

My favorite western memory was them almost beating a 1 seed in the ncaa tournament. I forget who they played but they should have won and would’ve been the biggest upset in basketball history.

I was lucky to see baby faced Curry destroy App up close. Also saw when UNC came to town at the opening of the Holmes center, however I think that UNC team was really bad and it was before Roy Williams

I was at the Nebraska game too! Lots of fun. Over-rated chants, stormed the old Varsity gym court.

Nothing about his experience in the draft or Houston suggests to me that he'd be a good person to add in our locker room.

Such a shame we don’t have some second round picks to trade for guys like that…….

He’s a good shooter but a not a very good rebounder.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Grimes had a great streak with the Sixers, but he is demanding 25 million per as a restricted free agent. We all saw how lofty demands worked out for PJ Washington when he was a restricted free agent with Charlotte.

The Sixers may have to go over the 2nd apron to retain Grimes.

If I'm the Nets, I'm stealing him. They have the cap to price out Grimes or Kuminga (also restricted).
It has been written...

These were "probably" AJ's best games of the season. He missed so much time last year due to injury. Wonder how it would have went if didn't get injured. He seems to have a old mans game. A real knowledge/feel.

UPDATED 7-5-2025

These are who I want with our picks in order

Fears
Raynaud
Kam Jones
Taelon Peter - or Will Richard
Chase Hunter - summer league invite

I just don't think mildly inefficient shot chuckers with limited all around games have much value on the trade market, even on cheap contracts. It makes the Suns' interest in Jalen Green even more puzzling

32nd pick comes in cheaper than our guys at 33 and 34 (though by a pretty negligible amount).

Kalk is actually the example Marks uses here for the max you can give 2nd rounders by awarding them the 2 YOS amount in each of the first 3 seasons (and James has an identical deal). Penda's deal is the base amount each year, or identical to the Proctor example given.

im assuming Green was the "most talented" young player that was offered. Watching Jalen in the playoffs you could see he wanted to be better, hopefully he finds a way.
