Still only 19.

It's only fitting that the C's have to fight their way past Philly, Miami and the NYK to get to the top of the conference again.

As usually happens, the better unsigned players for Maine are on different summer league teams now. Ward is with OKC. Enaruna's with Cleveland. DJ Rodman is with Charlotte. Enaruna really improved last season.

Most interested in seeing these guys in SL in no order.

Max Shulga
Hayden Gray
Baylor Scheierman
Hugo Gonzalez
Jordan Walsh
Amari Williams
Kenneth Lofton Jr.

This is a loaded SL team. I don't expect anyone to dominate due to a deep roster, other than maybe Lofton.

If Mad Max drops 30 during a Summer League game, the love for him will be so strong... Overflowing pitchers of Green Kool Aid.

All of interest, as well as whether any of the other wings can break through somehow.

If Walsh doesn't dominate he's probably done.

I expect he'll get a good amount of handle time to see where his drive game is at. Personally, I don't think he's in peril. He's shown good toughness and is active. If he hasn't put on any weight, I reserve the right to change my projection. But I think he's a guy who will audition for a PF spot. He's got more game than he's given credit for by most posters.

My thought as well. Shooting may not be his forte, but he gets into the thick of it, and his drive game shows promise. Works hard on defense. More minutes are available, hopefully he can take advantage.

He’s gonna have to play under control though too.

I’m rooting for him. He’s got a lot of potential as a defender at the very least.

Hard for me to ever envision a scenario where his drive game develops into something an NBA team ever, ever gives him the green light to use with any regularity. I think he's either going to have to grow as a shooter to where he can be some level of "3&D" on the wing OR he's going t have to bulk up and start playing more like a crash the boards and switchable type small ball 4. If he can't do either of those things, I don't think he has the offensive skill to stick in the NBA.

Everybody makes their own decisions for different reasons. If he gets cut now or at the deadline he's made just over 3mil and who knows what happens with him next. Walsh obviously thought he was ready and his circle thought he was ready. But I'm sure being around guys who stayed for multiple years in college he see's the difference in their games and the possibilities that may bring for their own future earnings. Same goes for Davison.

I hope the NIL makes guys like Walsh stay in school a little longer.

I think they've brought in more guys with more potential. I'm ready to move on.

Yeah. It seems like Brad Stevens has upped the ante on younger players. Which is good.
We're going to need to speed up our play, and giving players more competition, will help.

Brad gave valuable rotation minutes to Semi for years. He was the definition of the quote above

Brad Stevens is surrounding the Vets with Young Guns.
KG and P. Pierce have a good amount to say.

My ceiling right now for Hugo is Manu. He has a lot of the elements of his game that could translate well.

He's a good passer. He plays with a relentless motor. He attacks the basket, but also can shoot. He plays suffocating defense and is always looking to get out in transition.

The thing I'm really not sure about and we won't really know about until we see it is can he beat his man off the dribble. I just can't tell right now. Is he fast enough and are his ball handling skills strong enough.

The thing about Manu is he could just get by you and you could not knock that ball out of his hands. I'm not sure how Hugo is gonna look against the speed of the pro game.
