Jae Crowder is not trash!

The real holdup here is Horstie's been shopping a Buck player hard-- and finding out his trade partners think 6 (six) 2nd round (second) picks for giannis is a tough sell back at the Front Office. Like, even these guys so what's he supposed to say. Free market. Steep tho.

Option A: Doc and Horst still like Kuzma and think he can get it together here.

Option B: Doc and Horst would trade the 2031 first and spend more money to upgrade to Kuminga if only since he’s 7 years younger at 22 and an exceptional finisher at the rim compared to Kuz.

Option C: Doc and Horst don’t like Kuminga that much regardless of how we feel about Kuzma.

Option D: it’s moot since the Bucks couldn’t get Kuminga anyways since no one wants Kuz.

Which do you think it is?

If Grimes's asking price is anywhere near 25 million, that's an easy no. His efficiency isn't that good and while we can debate his defense, it certainly isn't elite.

On the other hand, neither Paul or Beal are good defenders. I'm fine with rolling the dice on what the Bucks have now and run it back with three guard lineups, assuming Rollins is re-signed. Wait for the trade deadline.

A cheap Beal trying to prove he's a winner and deserving of one more contract sounds very useful to me.

Grimes had a 60TS% as a 24 year old, and was the #1 option in Philly. He maintained that high efficiency while scoring 21ppg there and showed some playmaking chops too.

Sure, he's a gamble, but if he was a sure thing, he'd get maxed.

If we don't land him, we'll be way under the tax this year. Theres no bonuses for that.

I feel like we should be focused on the SF so we don’t need Prince playing 35 mpg. Do you see him as a 3?

Fair -- but this is also where I'm wondering whether Horst might be making a more aggressive move for Kuminga than we'd otherwise think.

Alternatively they could see Kuzma as our starting SF (despite how ugly that got in the playoffs) for all we know.

I'm cool with adding Grimes, Beal, Khris. I understand why we're wasting a roster spot on Harris, but it's Prince that really bothers me.

If Kumingas ceiling is Denver Aaron Gordon, I’m all good with that. If higher volume results in higher efficiency you’re looking at a clear cut all star player in Kuminga. He’s a walking Kum bucket, what’s not to like? By 2031 Kuminga could be Jaylen Brown or Denver Aaron Gordon and like I said, I’m good with that.

Bucks in - Kuminga S&T
Warriors in - Kuzma, AJ Green and 2031 1st
Nets in - Andre Jackson Jr and GSW future 2nd

Sign Rollins, Thanasis and Melton

KPJ/Rollins
Trent/Melton/Harris
Kuminga/Prince/Thanasis
Giannis/Bobby
Myles/Sims

Smith/Bogo/Sears

Fast, young and athletic players playing at high pace with twin tower anchors that both can move with the best of them, 1 is the best of them.. zero holes here imo, retool complete.

Grimes hasn't be able to stay with any team. He played 28 games for the 76ers and his career numbers are pedestrian.

If he wants a slightly higher pay day than KPJ, because he has less baggage, then sure. But at 25 million, that is absurd. He's already been on four teams in four years.

25 million is for proven players. Now, Horst has shown he can be dumb, ala Kuzma, but I don't think he'd commit to a guy like Grimes with big money and a long contract. I hope.

$25m is not the price of an elite FA. That's the price of a solid starter. Also, if you look at his shooting efficiency, he has only had one bad year. On defense Grimes brings high level on ball defense with the ability to guard positions 1-3. It's a gamble but if you take out the one bad year you see a player that has been a solid 3 and D starter.

His one awful year and Dallas' financial issues is what caused him to move around. You can argue that NY, Detroit, and Dallas would all be better with him over their current SG.

Sidenote: if the reports about the Clippers going after Beal are true then I think Powell is on the trading block. He is a 32 y/o player on an expiring contract on a team that has a lot of older guards. The Clippers maybe a landing spot for Kuzma if they are looking to improve their size.

Given what he gave up in the buyout, I think he's angling for the full MLE from someone. As we have long been aware, contending (acknowledging that there is a broad consensus that we are *not* contenders) has never been too important to him.

Gambo saying Beal would waive his no trade clause for LA, Miami, or Denver. He’s not coming here.

Just get the Rollins deal and Green extension done man.

I just feel like hes a complete loser and i dont want him anywhere near our locker room

Im aware that people may have had similar thoughts about kpj but kpj is younger and hasnt earned his place yet (or lots of money compared to beal). I feel like kpj is much more capable of and likely to change and to assimilate to the culture where Beal feels like a guy who only cares about himself and there isnt much hope of that changing

Think about it. Hes fully healthy and they are paying him 22m per year for 5 years not to be there. Thats way different than Dame's situation

Great opportunity here for Rollins.
