Way OT: Felger looks like a tiny little gnat next to Joe Murray:

- Dinner in America (2020). I decided to watch because Mary Lynn Rajskub had a little screen time in it. It ended up being one of the best movies I've watched this year.

- Two Days, One Night (2014). Marion Cotillard.

- Mass (2021). Just four people in a room talking, and time flies. I know I'll watch this one again in a few years.

- The Promised Land (2023), a Danish historical drama.

- Only Lovers Left Alive (2013). This was a worthy rewatch.

Anybody has seen any of these? Most of them seem to have gone unnoticed, some didn't even break even.

I didn't love Only Lovers Left Alive, but I do love the director. Paterson, Night On Earth, Stranger Than Paradise. Jarmusch has been around since the 80's

Dead Man is another great Jarmusch flick, he's hit or miss for me but at the minimum you know they will be unique and have great cinematography.

Edit: I read further in the thread and saw you guys already hit Dead Man.

If we're talking Jarmusch, Ghost Dog anyone? Not sure it's been mentioned here.

I haven't seen it in so long I can barely remember it but I do remember thinking it was a good movie. Might have to put that on my list of things to rewatch.

Not sure who's watching The Bear but this season...

Started off a little slow the first 4 episodes but after that, starting with episode 5 just put out banger after banger after banger the rest of the way thru the finale. The show just kills. Not sure how else to say it.

Just got out of Superman and it was extremely good. I understand that comicbook movie fatigue is real and all but Gunn created an entirely unique version of Superman that made it feel fresh and different, and even timely. Well worth the IMAX viewing.

Same here, haven’t seen it in a very long time but enjoyed it a lot at the time. I was in straight away with it as I was/am a massive Wu Tang fan, and having RZA doing the music was a big draw card. Plus it was a quirky take on the traditional crime/mafia movie.

Speaking of Jarmusch and the RZA, it was a bit hit and miss overall, but Coffee and Cigarettes was pretty enjoyable and the chapter with the RZA, the Genius, and Bill Murray was fantastic.

I'm late to the party but the full series of Mr. Robot is on Netflix now and it's really good.

New season of Foundation is airing on Apple.

Another new Dexter series is out on Showtime/Paramount.

The Bear remains excellent.

New episodes of The Sandman on Netflix were kinda boring compared to season 1 imo.

Seasons of Poker Face (Peacock), Murderbot (Apple), and Duster (HBO Max) were all very good. Although I just saw Duster already got canceled.

Also something else but I just forgot what it was.

From my over 30 years investigation and interaction with the Paranormal, I can tell you there are negative forces out there, most likely of a sentient plasma nature, who are inimical to mankind. And you better know how to protect yourself from them...

One of the few Netflix original shows I watch and genuinely enjoy. Looking forwards to this, looks promising.

I'm holding on Foundatil until I get a few episodes banked and then I'll get into it. Never quite got into Mr. Robot. Maybe I'll give it another shot. We'll see. Right now working through Countdown on Prime and that's been pretty fun. Saw the Emmy nominees and apparently nobody who makes decisions over there watched the 2nd season of Andor at all. Kind of an embarrassment what happened there.

Yeah Andor deserved Emmy noms.

I think I'm gonna wait to binge Foundation as well. So much going on the remember from week to week.

I finished Ballard on Prime last night. I have a few complaints but it was worth my time. Bosch spinoff starring Maggie Q.

The Assessment. Film with Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Olsen and Himesh Patel. Watched it on Hulu last night.

Holy crap that thing was weird as hell and frustrating at times, but fascinating and had me feeling all kinds of ways by the end. Probably not for everyone but I can't stop thinking about it and I don't think I'll be forgetting it any time soon.

I 100% want an OT thread on this.
My unpopular opinion is that genocide is bad and we should speak out against it.

If you don’t mind watching 3 British Astro-nerds siting a hatchback for 2 hrs, Cosmos is a pretty good movie.
