Re: Pat Connaughton Appreciation Thread
Big time competitor who always gave 110% on the court. Loved how he never hesitated to let it fly in big moments. I’ll definitely miss the flybys and the occasional flyback to actually block the shot. He was such a gifted athlete in his prime. Thank you Pat!! You will be missed by never forgotten.

Re: Pat Connaughton Appreciation Thread
The term "warrior" gets thrown around way too much but it definitely applies to Pat. He continuously got his face scrambled and never hesitated to stick his nose right back in. Top 1% in physical and mental toughness.

Re: Pat Connaughton Appreciation Thread
7 years is a hell of a long time for a player of Pat's level (solid 8th man) to stick on one team in today's NBA. It was a good run! Best of luck to Pat.

Re: Pat Connaughton Appreciation Thread
The fact he went from 10th man playing in 2018 Bud blowouts to Finals closer was nothing short of amazing.

What a career this dude ended up having after signing for the minimum with the Bucks. IIRC, it was a 2-year deal with the 2nd year being completely nonguaranteed.

Re: Pat Connaughton Appreciation Thread
Pat probably gave Simmons plenty of heartburn, maybe that's why Simmons is such a dick when it comes to the bucks.
Those Celtics planet Pat games were so fun.
His finals run contributions live on forever. Him being giannis's workout buddy goes down in giannis lore.
Thank you Pat.

Re: Pat Connaughton Appreciation Thread
I found it pretty easy to like Pat, he is just one of those people that seem to epitomise the idea of being a team player. Always the first guy up on the bench to cheer on his teammates' success, always something to say in the ear of someone who needed some advice (or perhaps just a calming voice), always willing to do whatever was asked of him on the court. I find myself drawn to guys who go out and play multiple positions to just meet whatever need the team has at that time, even though you individually want to do whatever you can to get minutes there must be part of you thinking "if I log these minutes as an undersized 4 I'll only be half as effective as if I'd got more minutes at the 2 or 3, and it'll have double the wear on my body"- he never seemed to care.
Resilient dude, we could all learn something from him. I wish him every future success on and off the court, thanks for your time with The Bucks and thanks for your genuinely meaningful contribution to the championship we all got to enjoy. It meant a lot.

Patty C was a clutch as any Buck ever, and just as tough. Hats off to him. A legend in his role.

To be fair the Dame thread isn't all sunshine and rainbows like this one.

Re: Pat Connaughton Appreciation Thread
Dame wears zero to reflect his total intangibles. Pat has intangibles.

Re: Pat Connaughton Appreciation Thread
Watched on YouTube yesterday a highlight video showing the last 6 minutes of game 6 of the Finals.
And damn if Pat isn’t in there making clutch plays and going all out.
The guy was just awesome in the context of getting him free and his contracts frankly not being that much in total.

Re: Pat Connaughton Appreciation Thread
if Kornet's three-point defense got a moniker, I think Pat's leap of faith should as well.
