Im not an RJ fan, but I still say the deal that makes sense for both teams is

Klay, Naji, and Hardy for RJ Barrett

Dalals gets a SG who can create for others and handle the ball so its not all on Coop, since D-Low is not good. Plus they need to clear out a roster spot. Tor turns RJ into smaller, more movable deals since they have some big contracts already.

Are you sure the Mavs is not trading a 2nd instead of receiving a 2nd? Let's not act like Powell could play Myles Turner's role.

Well you have to get something back in return when you trade a guy. The Mavs don’t need players they need a roster spot. So maybe Powell and a late 2nd for a late 2nd from Indiana. It reunites Carlisle with Powell who he loves.

The more I think about it, the more I feel that Lebron plays one last season next year and signs with Dallas for the minimum for a farewell tour since Nico signed all his friends and coaches. I want no part of that LBJ farewell tour though.

Beal comes in with more shooting. LBJ comes in with more playmaking. But if the cost is the same I'd probably go with the lesser risk and take Beal. Beal is easier to cut if he's of no use. Lebron you're getting Klutch guys, Rich Paul, Bronny and that whole travelling circus of his. And since it's his farewell tour, he'd expect a final standing ovation in every arena the Mavs play in for next year. And I don't want to be part of that.

The Wiggins I'd want is Aaron. If Dallas could do a 3 way where they somehow turn Gaff into Wiggins, they should

Aaron Wiggins isn't even all that great against Indiana Pacers in Finals. But Andrew Wiggins is exceptional great against Luka. I know Wiggins is 30. But still, I don't think Aaron Wiggins can get anywhere close to Andrew Wiggins' level on both end of the floor at 30 YO.

And the salary shows that. Aaron is still a solid all around player, better than 2025 Klay, Christie, Martin, and leaps and bounds better than Hardy.

I have a feeling that Wiggins may be the ultimate replacement for JW in a few years, when OKC can’t withstand 3 max contract on the roster. Don’t think OKC will be trading him away so easily.

I like it. Was bummed to see Shamgod and maybe Dudley go but this new coaching staff knows their stuff and can make up for Kidd's shortcomings. Handy coming on board could be a gamechanger for Flagg in particular. The guy is very well respected and gets a lot of credit for the development of some of the top guys the last 2 or 3 decades.
