Riley still has some zip on the fast ball. A team we’ll be fighting with for the play-in got a lot better. Danny Ainge held on to his asset too long yet again. Although the Collins trade never made sense in the first place.

I wonder if Utah fans rejoice when news like this comes in. At this rate I wonder if Ace threatening to not report could have been a selling point for Ainge in drafting him. This is the best the Clippers could get for Norm?

Clippers making this move because they are likely bringing in Beal. Ballmer has learned a few lessons, for the most part, but he still has a soft spot for once-good guys that play when they feel like it (PG13, Kawhi, and now Beal).

Miami hard capped to first apron so no MLE left to use. Norm is big time talent but he is another small guard. How does it work in the playoffs?

I legit forgot that Kevin Love is still hooping.

I expect that Clips will get Beal for a veteran's min and not miss a beat. Plus they have $50m in cap space the following year. Amazing move for the Clips.

It’s a lateral move but they’re essentially the same player, Collins is four years younger somehow and fills a position of need. Plus Clippers have quite a bit of guard depth.

Likely buyout and saves a bit more. Then he signs with the Lakers so backup up Ayton.

Jazz don't really do well here. Love likely never plays for them. SloMo is a good locker room guy, so I guess he'll be useful during another miserable season.

Collins for Norm makes sense, especially if Beal lands in LA. Collins is somehow only 27 and had a good year buried in Utah.

Ainge is washed. Feels like Collins should have gotten a more than a 2nd.

sexton + jordan clarkson and john collins have netted them

nurkic, anderson and love.

that being said they can have around 22 mil cap space this season, maybe an offer sheet for grimes/kuminga is next step.

they acquired collins from atlanta few years ago and paid a 2nd to do absorb him into mostly space (sent back some minor salary) IIRC.
