Getting giddey and picks for herro, then getting a cost controlled Beal? That would be an underrated win. Not the best defensive backcourt, but still miles ahead of anything with herro. And I could absolutely see the bulls selling themselves on a less athletic lavine.

Refusing to trade Herro for guys like Mitchell and Kyrie then agreeing to do so for Giddey sounds like this FO tbh.

Bro… just because you keep spreading the BS don’t make it true. We didn’t trade Herro for Mitchell, because our offer was not beating the Cavs offer. The Cavs offer was one asset better than our best possible offer that included Herro. Despite whatever journalist say to get your attention and click, the evidence is in the final offer Utah accepted.

Few things:
1) Norman Powell is a good asset. We only got him because every team is so cap strapped and Jazz are just dumping players, thank you Ainge.
2) Norman Powell is: Herro injury insurance, he's Herro trade insurance, he's good depth and floor spacing now with Duncan gone and Burks not re-signed, he's a better asset in possible future trades than SloMo and Love were.
3) Opens up a roster spot that gives us flexibility in future moves or to get Dame on a two year vet minimum or something else.

Maybe this doesn't make sense as of now and the other moves we are working on don't materialize but this is a slam dunk trade. You can play him and all the way up to the NBA trade deadline, there are always moved to be had.

I’ve been begging for them to get a vet scoring two guard behind Herro and Powell is a dog on defense too.

Achilles injuries ruin careers. Players sometimes miss a season, spend the entire next season being worse/slower/less explosive and recovering, and THEN being good again. If they ever fully recover of course. Expecting Dame to play and actually be productive for the playoffs is a massive massive stretch.
