Bradley Beal

Post#1 » by rambo_ortega » Mon Jul 7, 2025 11:08 am

I'm all for getting him. He a legit Shooting guard who would be the perfect guy to keep us afloat with the opportunity of having him with Tatum when he's fully recovered since they're close buddies. We also don't have that much guards to develop so it doesn't hurt us.

White/Beal/Brown is nice!

I think if you trade Simons, then Beal makes a lot of sense. He’s another guy who can score and help out until Tatum returns. Beal was pretty disappointing with the Suns, so you'd have to hope that playing alongside Tatum reenergizes him and brings him back to form.

Stay away from Beal, Lillard...

Get under tax line this year and retool next summer... Signing over the hill guys who can`t accept they are just role players at this point does not make sense, IMO...

With Tatum out we can focus on developing young guys and with some lottery luck we can add a young cornerstone player next year...

Next offseason will be the time to think about bringing veteran help in, IMO...

At least how I understand it - since Dame was cut and stretched, he can basically sign for whatever and the Bucks will pick up the rest. So unless he signs for more than his $50M+ a year contract then value doesn’t matter.

Beal though would be different? I assume if he gets a buyout he gets all that money and then get more with whatever his next deal is?

If so, hard to see him taking a gap year with us at a likely minimum sized value. Unlike Dame he’s ready to go now

Sure, I am all for Dame and Beal (if Beal gets bought out) and they sign for cheap? Why not?

Beal for the minimum and trade Simons for a decent front court player would be a pretty good option.

I expect Dame and Beal to become mercenaries on 1 year deals because they're still getting paid so much from the teams stretching them. Can't imagine either of them are taking a deal with us when they can go to a ready made contender for the same price and have a chance at a ring and then run it back doing the same the following year.

Both would be good options for next summer as we'll have starter level roles available for them if they're interested and we'll still be a legit championship contender, which apart from the money, is basically the ideal fit for them.

I'm more interested in Beal vs. Dame in terms of on court production, but he's also only 32, so my worry would be he comes in and plays well enough to warrant a much bigger deal and we're hamstrung by the fact that JT and him at best buds. Dame is going to be on the vet minimum for the rest of his career most likely, so he'd be a perfect fit as a high upside piece with very very little risk given the money.

Why would Beal pick Boston? Dame maybe cuz he's just rehabbing.

Beal's from the same neighborhood as Tatum and they've been friends for a long time.

I'd rather just keep Simons if we decide we need a scoring first guard with questionable defense, at least he's fairly young. Beal was certainly better in his prime but this Beal isn't that and he has only averaged about 50 games per season over the last 6 seasons. No ty.

I hope that's the case. They are just distracting detours taking minutes from the young guys IMO if they are actually signed here.

Beal used to drive Tatum to practice.

The Collins trade seems to indicate they think that as well. GSW is the other one that makes a lot of sense, imo.
