At least we're trying to do something, we've had years of doing nothing. It does seem like there's something bigger coming up

On one hand I'm perfectly fine with this.

I think Kemba said it: now instead of giving minutes to nobodies like Baugh, Elf, and Moore and seeing huge deficits any time Melo or Miller or whomever isn't on the floor, they're going to play vets who might not be good, but at least they're adults and professionals and shouldn't completely **** the bed.

Detroit did something similar last year and we saw how much positive impact that had.

With all of that said, I am completely befuddled by their current moves. The roster construction makes no sense at all so I'm waiting and hoping to see some kind of looming trade.

It does seem kind of like they're trying to hedge against a potential Melo trade at this point

He’s not good anymore and will monopolize the ball when playing with our young guys off the bench, plus being a meh defender now, so likely it will be justified.

Impossible to imagine him getting to Micic level though so will still be a net upgrade.

Somehow led the Mavs in minutes and assists last year, so still good enough to keep the ship afloat in a pinch.

Feels like he is a true backup PG where Mann and Sexton are more combo guards

I am hoping Dinwiddie and Plumlee are basically the 2025-26 versions of Seth and Taj

I think they are. Vets to learn from and insurance. Dinwiddie is still ok though.

3rd string for sure. They provide infrastructure as bookends of the Salaün unit.

Dinwiddie will contribute more than that soft as5 no vertical "ball handler" center.

Spencer For Hire

To me this is the signing that makes the least sense

The Sexton and Micic trades at least brought assets in return

Does Dinwiddie on the downside of his career move the needle in a way that is worth the roster jam adding him created?

The team needs to now unload or waive Green, Smith, Okogie and Daiquiries.

And after already adding Sexton Sion and Connaughton what did Dinwiddie bring that those adds couldn’t compensate?

I don’t get this one.

I would have preferred giving Ben Simmons more money to sign him instead.

real talk though, Dinwiddie sucks ass, and we don't need him taking a roster spot from a viable big man

Nah, don’t ever disrespect NetsWorld President. He’s going to help your team and the Hornets fan base aren’t in any position to talk about who sucks ass as a franchise. Don’t go there. He will help the locker room and help the scoring load when LaMelo gets injured like always.

Wait, are you saying his nickname is NetsWorldPresident? Can you explain to those of us uninitiated in the ways of Nets World what you are talking about? Thx

And that they'd be super annoying and rude too. Is that a fanboi prerequisite?
