I would expect it to look more like this

Herro / Mitchell / Rozier / Smith (2 way)
Powell / Larsson / KJ
Wiggins / Highsmith / Jacquez
Bam / Jovic / Fontecchio
Ware / Johnson

Telling me the lakers couldn’t offer the jazz something similar for Collin’s? Miami gave up nothing

Heat got the best player without giving up anything terribly bad, but Jazz look like they're going to clear more spots/buy outs, etc not saying that makes them any better especially as a FA destination but hey they did something lol

Kris Dunn

Ivica Zubac / Brook Lopez / Yanic Konan Niederhauser

Terry Rozier / Davion Mitchell / Kasparas Jakucionis
Tyler Herro / Norman Powell / Pelle Larsson
Andrew Wiggins / Jaime Jaquez Jr / Simone Fontecchio
Haywood Highsmith / Nikola Jovic / Keshad Johnson
Bam Adebayo / Kel'el Ware

I'd expect Love to be waived by Utah.

More likely this (not that it matters).
Isaiah Collier / Walter Clayton Jr. / Jaden Springer
Brice Sensabaugh / Keyonte George / Elijah Harkless
Ace Bailey / Cody Williams / Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk / Kenyon Martin Jr. (guessing waived, unguaranted)
Lauri Markkanen / Taylor Hendricks / Kyle Anderson
Walker Kessler / Kyle Filipowski / Jusuf Nurkic / Kevin Love (guessing buyout)

Jazz cut $13.2MM from this years payroll and create a $26.6MM TE plus they get an SRP. And SloMo's contract next year is non-guaranteed. I'll take it.

Losing Norm Powell is a small price to pay for improving the frontcourt to this degree. Now Kawhi and Derrick Jones can just exclusively play on the wing and Batum can play the bench stretch 4.

Ainge held onto these vets so long, he got nothing for them.

Exactly this. I also think there is sense in selling high on Powell, the nuggets series exposed some of his flaws. Collins is a good move to get more size and athleticism, and ease the rebounding/ guarding 4s burden on Kawhi’s body

Yes. These.

Precisely why the Clips made this move.. team was unbalanced for at least 2 seasons, forced to play small too often, and Norm' fell off in the playoffs collectively, also his knee injury after all star break brought him down some. Kawhi is best as a SF that can play PF in spurts, at most.. not more like he has the last 3 seasons.

Pretty big move for LAC. Now Lue doesn't have to play small as much anymore, and basically will be forced to play bigger line ups.

Norm' should be big for Miami and help reliably for the next 2-3 seasons.

Clips getting Beal would be pretty interesting, and should be better than on a team like Phoenix.. if he's healthy ; ).

Yeah, they are going to be injured all season but they basically have a 2 year window to do whatever they can do no real harm on just going all in on old.

Good trade by the Clippers. I like bigger PF's like Collins that can actually rebound like big men and shoot the ball. The Utah rep has not doing well for him but he's a good player. He can also finish inside. Sure, he's not amazing defensively but he holds his own in the paint. That's why you pair him with a legit C like Zubac. Less inclined to like these modern day undersized PF's that barely rebound.

Getting bigger collectively as a team is a good move and they don't lose much offensively by doing it. Size wins in the NBA. They also got younger with this trade while upsizing which was my one issue with how they've built their team. They have been so old and this is a good start to get younger.

always wanted Collins paired up with Harden. That was years ago though. Not sure how much of a lob threat they can create now. Defensively it helps. If they can get Beal then the trade makes sense especially not having more long term money guaranteed which Powell is going to demand. Team is long in the tooth but they will not be an easy out. Iam sure they will surprise quite a few actually.

The Heat may start one lineup and finish with another lineup.

Heat starting lineup:
Herro
Powell
Wiggins
Bam
Ware

Heat finishing lineup:
Mitchell
Herro
Powell
Wiggins
Bam

Yes, I agree with this. Depending on matchups, they are more than capable of going big or going small.

If Ware continues to develop as expected the Heat could potentially have 5 fringe level All-Star players as starters with 6th man candidate. Powell was a snub last year. Wiggins was an All-Star in 2022, Herro in 2025 and Bam made it 3 times (2020, 2023 and 2024). A very strong #3-6 with Davion Mitchell as well.

Correct. And Miami's problem is they have no number 1. They have a bunch of good players and a great coach. That should be enough to have a good regular season record but won't be enough to get them a deep playoff run.
