like how the first was-minn game would have gone differently if phee had been healthy?

I assumed that went without saying. Mystics are a lot of fun and they have a bright future, but nobody would have expected them to beat the Lynx with Phee. Even without her was a miracle.

I know you won't like this but boy the Lynx got a nice whistle tonight. Sky had them

But they did get a really good whistle tonight.

Hahaha. I went back and added the part about Stewie wanting to stay close to home because I knew that at very least MDB would take exception!

My guess is that her and Phee will remain loyal to their teams, and players will gravitate to them.

Basically I think the Liberty, Lynx, and Fever are going to be the big winners out of all this. Probably the Sparks too since LA is LA, and guessing Paige + another top salary controlled rookie are going to be very attractive for Dallas (much like Indy’s situation, but with longer contract-related runway).

I could definitely see A’ja walking away. Be crazy if she joined Dallas and paired with Paige, a top 2 or 3 pick, and whatever other veteran stars that want to come along. I don’t love team ups as a general rule, but talent is so concentrated in the W by default, so it doesn’t aggravate me quite as much as the men’s game.

Are the Sun the worst team in WNBA history?
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.

Curious to see how LA does in this free-agency. It may be LA, but pretty much everything else about it is rough.

It's similar to Chicago and Dallas in terms of practice facilities (don't have one, but it's planned, though LA hasn't set a date).
They also have cheap owners.

It's a "poverty franchise" that happens to be in LA. I haven't heard much to give reason to think that's about to change (doesn't mean there aren't, I could just be ignorant). Nneka stayed 12 years, but was excited to get out.

We'll see how much facilities matter, but if they do, Phoenix, Seattle, Golden State, and Vegas could be big FA winners (only 4 that have their own). Minny, Indy, and Washington at least share an NBA facility, and are good spots for a lot of reasons. Of course the Liberty, NY/Stewie/Sab/good coach and a facility on the way.

LA could get away this for a long time, but now they have Golden State to deal with. You're a big name and want to got to Cali? I can't imagine why anyone would prefer LA over GSV. If you just want to be out West, that's where all the teams that invest the most are.

Veronica Burton and Kaitlyn Chen playing elite defense and hitting triples here in the 1st. Looking really good

Canada and Chen aren't generally going to light up the scoreboard.

But it's fun to watch them battle. They both throw down.

Aja Wilson the best player in the WNBA is picked 5th in the all-star game smh

Will this make headline news that players are hating on Aja?

Seriously tho that was weird.

It was and no one will address it in the media because frankly no one cares unless there's an opportunity to stoke racism or misogyny

I think the Fever will win it all this season. Bonner will be the missing piece.

I mean they traded coaches. There was a lightness and fun to the whole thing.
