Forgot about the sink or swim charade. The Bucks did Porter dirty, sad thing for a state legend.

Would have pulled the trigger on Redd for Randolph months earlier. Redd’s deal of course now looks like total peanuts compared to the ridiculous salaries in the NBA. Did the Bucks really just pay Myles Turner? /shock

Bobby punched a hooker, or something.

Ford

Bogut
Magloire

On paper that was a really exciting (and young) 5.

03-04 Bucks with rookie Ford, Redd, Mason, Skinner, and Joe Smith ranks high for me in terms of enjoyable Bucks seasons. Fun, low expectations, solid achievement.

Licensed to Il wrote:“Freeway” or “MMBOT” on the JS Online boards made talking Bucks 50% more enjoyable. I’ll never forget when he said David Noel would be an all star (“mark my words”) or that we shouldn’t draft Chris Paul because “he’s a foolish nut” after he, you know, punched a guy’s nuts

Yes, those were fun times. When the Bucks went for Bogut instead of his choice, Marvelous Marvin Williams, he went Atlanta Hawks in Full Flight. I always enjoyed his posts and his passion, and despite a little goofiness knew basketball.

Speaking of Bogut.... I was getting on a plane back to Hong Kong last week, was flying out of Mongolia.

Apparently there was a 3 on 3 bball world championship happening at the same time i was there. (i didn't know that was a thing).

The Australia team was going via hk back down under.

I started talking to an Aussie player as I'm wearing my Bucks gear while boarding the plane.

We quickly did a rundown of Aussie bucks connections. Delly, Bogut, (he brought up Thon who I've erased from my memory LOL), Jingles.

He said Bogut keeps pretty busy (now I forgot if he said Melbourne or Sidney) but I think he said Sidney because he said something like "that's where the money's at."

He also mentioned how, "that guy says some weird ****"

It was fun interacting with a young aussie player and able to have some bucks/aussie crossover talk.

I was a ballboy that year. Expectations were very low. No Ray, no Cassell, no Big Dog, no Karl, no Payton. Traded Tim Thomas for Keith Van Horn (!) midseason.

Favorite memory: Game against T-Mac Orlando. Team went bananas in the 2nd quarter. TJ with a bounce pass "alley-oop" to Mason. Scored 70 points in the first half I believe which was very rare at the time, and it ended with a half court heave from Redd.

Worst memory: Standing in the tunnel as they wheeled TJ off in a stretcher against Minnesota. I felt like we were never the same team after that. Finished the year 12-14 and missed out on home court. Limped into the playoffs and got drawn against a red hot Pistons team with the recently acquired Rasheed Wallace (and they went on to win it all of course). It's actually impressive in hindsight that we took game 2 in Detroit and were leading game 3 by 7 at the half.

I am Bucks fan since 2002 and that 2005/06 team is actually my 3rd favorite Bucks team (after champions and FTD)

I'm pretty sure it was Hammond's number and I'm pretty sure it was DanoMac.

And I'm positive it was hilarious.

Bogut moving to Sydney because his home state is too woke sounds about right. Dude is cooked.

For some reason I thought he was so cooked he'd moved to Queensland.

I came onto this forum when Bogut was drafted (I first registered here under a different name than this one - long story). Before here I was on the JS Online forum, and man that was a fun place. MBBOT with his multicolor font posts was a great read.
