But news on AJJ hint to some kind of deal.

Sean Wright isn’t a real person. Dude doesn’t know anything.

Responding to the part about Andre.. i dont think a deal is necessarily imminent. I just think they wanted more time just in case

Obviously who knows how true that is, but there's probably a fair guess that those trades would involve Kuzma and AJ Green is the sweetener on it

Most of pur team is recently signed and not trade eligible so it makes perfect sense that teams would ask about AJ and also that we dont feel like including him for the kind of deal we have in mind. If we can get another actual star, that's different

It isn't true at all because Sean Wright doesn't exist! Stop posting him here.

I mean, c'mon....we're doing the exact same thing here lol.

Yup

KPJ
Trent Jr
Green
Rollins

Definitely a championship contending NBA backcourt

It's a false equivalency. KPJ averaged almost 20 a game already, on decent efficiency, & all-around #'s. Last yr we were much better w/ Giannis/KPJ (+21) v. Giannis/Dame (+5). There's proof of concept here. KPJ's arguably worth more here, by himself, than Dame. This was said before.

Conversely, there's no proof of concept for Jay Huff anywhere, let alone w/ Indy. He played < 12 minutes & Memphis were better w/out him on the court. Indy weren't saying they'd be as good w/ Jay Huff as Myles Turner before we stole him away.

With who?

With our motley crew of 6'4 role guys/3&D guards thinking we're gonna somehow money-ball our way to a great offense just because Giannis is awesome. That was pretty much the reasoning behind the Kuzma trade (beyond the financials) and look how that turned out. Trying to re-create production of great offensive players/scorers in the aggregate/through the bargain bin doesn't work in the NBA like it does in other sports. I'd be more optimistic with a better offensive mind at head coach, but obviously, we have Doc. This team is gonna have to lean entirely into a defensive identity because I'll be stunned if they're gonna win many track meet type games against playoff level opponents next season.

AJ Green is not untouchable, he's a solid 3+D guard with a little more 3 than D. However, he's cost controlled, a high effort guy, he can maintain those shooting percentages with higher usage, and the second we traded him, a player exactly like I described would be our major need. So yeah, I'd deal him if it got us off Kuz's contract and netted us a more dynamic young player. But anything short of that, he's a keeper.

I kinda hate Barrett as a player but I at least respect that we're trying something different i.e. taking a swing on a younger guy (if this is true).

I basically agree with you (although I'd have a very high standard for the dynamic young player) but I think the 3+D label has taken a beating after many years of being applied to guys who are not very effective at either 3 or D or both. AJ is a true quick-trigger high-accuracy shooter who is also a legitimately good perimeter defender. There is real scarcity of shooters at his level, and the guys who can also defend narrows it further, and then you add the fact that he rarely **** up... not only would trading him create a major need, it would be a very challenging need to fill.

It's a similar scenario to Midds where we'd be trading a guy who's worth more to us on the court than he's likely to be worth on the market, with the added kicker that he's just entering his prime. So we'd probably get worse in any trade while throwing away the opportunity to lock up an undervalued player long term.

Jake is just saying that the Bucks could be a "potential landing spot", he's not claiming anything more. Wright is posting that the Bucks have refused to include AJG in trades as if it's a fact. He's not even a real person.

I think the Bucks extend AJ Green and indicated to GTJ they’d use early bird or MLE on him next offseason.

Sean Wright is a troll account (he copped to the gag a few years ago before reverting back) not an anonymous one who knows things.

Either way if the Bucks are committing to non-athletes at the 2 it puts a greater onus on someone who can run at the 3!

That was clearly the vision for Kuzma.

In lieu of that Doc might be just as likely to start Prince at SF if the team is mostly waiting for Kuz’s contract to tick down before a trade.

Not interested in the '31 pick for Kuminga. And we'd still have to move Kuzma to clear salary.
