Based upon what KP said yesterday, Bryant is out although he did describe Bradley as an option.

I admit I am one of those Pacers fans who had no idea who Jay Huff was before the trade, but I've been watching highlights and am pretty high on him.

Also found a cool video of him dressing up as Kuzma for Halloween. https://youtube.com/shorts/mF4DWlcF2jQ?si=7uEtRM7U7g1pMW2B

I can make a case for him starting because of the fit with Siakam, and iJax or Wiseman playing on the second unit because of the fit with Toppin.

Yeah,... one of the writers said something about watching Bradley vs the other 5's through the summer,... if he makes the cut great,... if he doesn't, he has no guaranteed money, so it costs us nothing to cut him for the roster spot.

Agreed.

I am really glad we got Huff. Maybe it's just me,... but he's so close to what Myles could do, this feels like a 'litmus test'? Was everything Myles accomplished because of Myles? or because of his fit on this team & the style of play? (probably both),... But if Huff, who fits our style & seemingly our team, can have a breakout year from the circumstances,... and Myles,.. who won't be getting the same plays run for him, with a vast majority of the offense running through & to Giannis? doesn't have a good year? Could be really telling?

To be fair,... I think Myles will get very similar looks to those he got with the Pacers,... but only really as a follower in transition or as the release guy, like they used Lopez? I don't think they are going to run as much with Myles as a legit primary option as the Pacers did?... (that's just my gut, looking at games. Myles is the 'shiny new toy',... so maybe it works for a bit?)

Lopez,... when he left BRK, had a season in LA where they didn't use him,... then ended up with MIL. in BRK,.. he was a borderline 20 PPG guy (3 of his last 4 seasons there were 20 ppg),... when he got to MIL he was a 12-13 PPG guy. (1 season at 15.) I kinda think the same thing is going to happen to Myles? IMO Myles was not close to as consistent a player as Lopez, when Lopez joined the Bucks?

I really hope he does well & he becomes all he wants to. I just don't think the likely reality of this is as perfect as the coverage seems to imply?

Myles takes his first jab at the Pacers situation. This will not set well with fans.

I think Myles took the bag and I don't' have any hard feelings over it. I always appreciated him over the years. These comments are just the usual stuff you say to justify the decision to basketball folks beyond just "They offered me the most money."

It doesn't seem like he gave the Pacers a chance to match the contract numbers from Milwaukee and I think that's an issue for the team management that they didn't do a good enough job with that relationship with Myles and his representation. I don't think this contract he signed is bad by any means, but I doubt he finishes it in Milwaukee after all the trade rumors here. Myles was 6th on the Pacers all-time list for games played (642) with the franchise. Khris Middleton played even more games with the Bucks (735) and they dumped him unceremoniously to a bad team.

We've never had a player as good as Giannis and I understand that the Bucks are doing whatever they can to keep him, but I feel like they're making a bunch of short-sighted moves right now. Again, this contract isn't bad, but having all that dead money from Dame seems like a problem to me. I do think Giannis wants to be there, but it would have been better for everybody there to understand that they're going to be bad one year to let contracts get shorter and then reload. Giannis himself may be a draw to get some other guys in the door, but does that work anymore when you are treating everybody else around as disposable?

I'm bummed to lose Myles, but I'll be interested to see how the team can perform going in another direction.

Chad was on JMV at 5:30. Chad didn't say much but JMV was upset by Myles throwing his Pacer teammates under the bus.

Who’s JMV, a local radio host?

I’m not upset with Turner leaving because I think the Pacers can replace his output and it helps cap wise for upcoming seasons not being in the tax. Now if it was Siakam or Tyrese saying that they no longer wanted to be here then I’d be sad.

He said he didn't think pacers would be competitive this year

I’m 99% sure Turner’s decision was about money (which is totally fine), but this comment is a bit disappointing. It reads as very soft and uncompetitive, which I dont think he is. Anyways.

That feels a bit like PR spin to me. This was about securing the bag.

Turner went through the PG breakup year here, the Oladipo injury, and the mediocre period after that. Dude wants to go play with Giannis and try to win more than the Pacers probably will next season.

Doesn't sound so horrible to me. Good luck to him next season except against us.
