Lakers are the only team that truly makes sense to go after Wiggins. Wiggins has every bit of motivation to play well this year under his opt in contract.
Yeah, only championship-level teams are likely to make a move for Wiggins, but many of them don't have spare assets to make it worth Miami's while (Denver or Milwaukee, for example).
Wiggins is objectively a good NBA player, but he's about as exciting as a colonoscopy.

For the life of me I don’t understand the obsession to trade Wiggins. Unless there’s a trade offering first rounders, or PROMISING young pieces…. Keep him at least until the deadline. The priority should be trading Terry for an expiring like Vucevic, Olynyk or Marcus Smart. If you gotta throw in a 2nd rounder… do it. Add one of them to
Ware
Bam
Wiggins
Powell
Herro
Mitchell
Jovic
Highsmith
JJJ
Larson
Smith
Kasparas
And you got a squad that’s RIPE to trade for an all star and contend.

I just can't imagine there'd be many takers for George at this point.
1. He's got 3 years, $161M left on his deal.
2. Which teams actually believe George puts the over the top? MAYBE Cleveland (for Garland), MAYBE Detroit (into cap space next year), MAYBE Minnesota (for Gobert).

Could Indy make it work

I mean you’re on here trying justify him being the best player, let’s put them on the market and see the return lol. It will be massively lopsided but I’m 100% down to trade both.
Again, are you responding to twitter/reddit or people here? What poster here claimed Herro has more trade value than Bam? How is he a fan favorite on this board when nobody wants to max him (or would do it grudgingly if at all), almost nobody thinks he's better than Bam, and he's constantly discussed as the guy to deal for a real star?
I get that there's idiots in other places who like players for dumb reasons, but that discussion doesn't really matter here, and why bring it here if the point of realgm is to get away from that type of low brow crap?
I appreciate that you regularly update us with posts from twitter, but at the same time I think you're letting the talking points there spill over into your posting here, and creating strawmen and enemies where they don't exist. And it's causing you to overly diminish guys like Herro, when if anything you should be appreciating him as both an asset (he's definitely got positive value in the league right now even if it's not as high as we'd want it to be) and a guy who actually has very good chemistry with your favorite player on the court (with Duncan gone he's the only competent lob thrower until Jovic gets more consistent or the rook proves himself).
Side note, but I always found it interesting how even though Jimmy traditionally was the better passer and much higher BBIQ player (gap closed last year somewhat), he never had good chemistry with Bam, and Tyler worked much better with him. For whatever reason Herro and Bam have always clicked well together.

I don't think so. They basically have $100M going to Siakam and Haliburton in 26-27 and then they're going to need to extend Nesmith, Nembhard, and Mathurin.

This would actually be pretty nice for us and maybe the Lakers do it considering they’re giving up a 2nd instead of Knecht? Washington is basically just swapping out expiring contracts and getting a 2nd for doing so. Miami is turning Wiggins and Terry into 3 solid veteran rotation pieces and a 1st.

I was referencing a troll on here who is banned on other forums I know of but I’m not wasting any more energy on it/him.
Yea it’s pretty wild the success we were able to have with Jimmy/Bam despite then overlapping quite a bit. Maybe Spo learned how to navigate that from the big 3 era with LeBron and Wade overlapping (obviously neither player compares to those 2) but honestly they were just some dogs that dug deep when they needed to and did whatever they had to do to win.

Because you have to presumably give him minutes over players like Jovic and even JJJ who that time would be better spent with developing.
He also is just not what this team needs. Again, he's a 4th option type that if he performs well great, but if he gives you nothing, which there is a high likelihood of, it doesn't matter.

Saudades.

How about Wiggins for Rui and Maxi Kleber? I don’t think we’re going to get a first round pick for Wiggins and I don’t think Spoelstra wants him on the team anymore either based on what Ethan Skolnick has been saying.

I think that’s selling low and I think the Lakers actually do value him and want to bring him in. I also saw we want to feel like we won the Wiggins trade when/if we do trade him.
