I think the NBA needs to expand rosters to allow the g League to be a full-blown minor league similar to Major league baseball, where players can get called up and sent back down. Seems like this could develop better players and therefore better teams. Then something like summer league, would actually be more about watching which young players might be ready to help your main roster. I think expanding the rosters to include 5 two-way players should be a no-brainer, and the ability to hold the rights to five additional players. So technically, teams would have 25 players under contract.

It is obviously a SL overreaction, but I guess he is probably not a big PG that MIN fans have been dreamed for. He struggles to create an advantage in 1v1 situations. He might look better in well structured offense (which MIA is known for) tho, and his defense is not that bad.

I admit I wanted us to take him. Good for us that TC is the GM and not me.

Being number 1 in turnovers in the big 10 probably crossed him off as a viable PG for most teams. Unless you're the constant center of attention like Westbrook where every offensive possession goes through you, it's a pretty unacceptable turnover rate.

Especially rare to get that kinda PG in summer league. That should help a lot of the guys having 2 PGs that aren't solely gunning for his own stats, which is what seems to sink a lot of summer league teams

Just saw that we are the very first game of the Vegas Summer League on Thursday, with a 2:30 Central start time against the Corey Brewer-coached Pelicans (Thomas&Mack). We have a floor's last game Saturday against Denver (Pavilion), and then the first game on Tuesday the 15th against Detroit (Thomas&Mack) and a floor's first game on the 16th against Phoenix (Pavilion)

Fulton reminds me of a cross between TJ McConnell and Jordan McLaughlin

I decided to check some box scores from one of those other SL leagues and here's what I noticed. Just Rookies. Edgecombe Massive first game 28-10 with 3 stocks. Bailey crap first game excellent second. Clayton Jr didn't suck first game, but sucked in his second. Broome inefficient 13 and 5. Carter Bryant crappy 7 and 5. Jakucionas as mentioned here real bad.

I checked out some highlights from Edgecombe and I'm convinced he is going to be a star after just one game. He is quick, athletic, polished. He only shot 1-7 from 3, but I don't see that being a problem.

Just for reference: CP3 6'0 175lbs 7 times all NBA first team defense. Dilly could duplicate that without getting much bigger, imo.

Sounds like a Jamal Murray performance as rookie!

As one of the older and most experienced rookies he should be dominating.

Interesting that they have Beringer listed as a F not a C on the summer league roster. Also Miller as a SF not PF/C.

I can't see this, but based on the link:

Read on Twitter
?t=iOwR2eHCKiCzDO6rJf7MxA&s=19

PG - Dilly, Newton, Fulton
SG - Clark, Bailey, Watson
SF - TSJ, Miller, Eastern, Cane
PF - Beringer, Brown, Sane
C - Edwards, Rocco

Not saying that's how they will play them mind you

I find it only mildly interesting. Beringer might start SL at PF with Rocco at C, but Beringer's primary position will be center. A C who can also play PF. I like the 7 countries represented on the roster.
