I figured we’d be interested in him to try and add some more perimeter defense

We can always hold Wiggins until the deadline and see if the offers increase. I do like the thought of the Heat playing hardball in this situation with Wiggins, and the signs are pointing to the Heat FO will attempt to get as many assets as possible for this. Trading him for a 1st at least is the main priority in my eyes.

Unless Wiggins had some behind the scenes drama issues i wouldnt be in a rush to trade him either. He is still a veteran champ that may inspire some of the youngins during the season. If he is healthy our defense should be insane too

Yep, i said before we can always hold him.

I still dont see us being a playoff team yet.. and by the deadline you basically move Wiggins to a contender that needs a guy like wiggins

If we make a major move to get out of Herro and bring in a real game changing guard like Fox, then i can see us keeping wiggins..

Then you have

Fox/davion
Powell/larrson
Wiggins
Bam
Ware

Now we are talking playoffs..

But right now.. we aint ****

Trading him to the Lakers for Rui and a late first does nothing for us. Might as well just keep him and see if we can’t get anything from him this season

Lol i said a few weeks ago the lakers are going to do what they can to try to finally make luka/jokic duo happen in LA.

Which is probably why theyre reluctant to trade for Wiggins right now, because they will need all the picks possible.

The thing is……. Theyre gambling hard that Luka’s conditioning will hold up till the 2027 offseason when Jokic will be available…

dang weird he's taking his time and being patient with his family - talking heads keep mentioning how key of a factor it would be for him rehab every day with another man... you'd think he would want to get some solid achilles healing sessions holding hands with Tatum ASAP.

Why are we acting like a top 5 player in the world is going to be cooked by the time he’s 26-27 because he let himself get a little chubby coming off a finals trip lol?

Starting to think it might be somethings behind the scenes as some have speculated.

The other thing to remember is the Wiggins is very high maintenance in the sense that to get the best of him you need to mentally hype him constantly like a child with adhd and hope that the time, the sun and the moon are aligned for him to play up to expectations. Basically the antithesis of what a Heat type player is or was. If he is not getting motivated he is perfectly fine with just showing up to collect a paycheck.

Would rather they move Wiggins now than to hold him and risk him getting injured and missing a bunch of games like he did last year.

I think his value can only go downward.

You have the fan favorite because he’s flashy and I guess reminds people of Vanilla Ice or something and then the man a section of Heat fans revere as a god so it will be controversial to call out their shortcomings. I mean you’re on here trying justify him being the best player, let’s put them on the market and see the return lol. It will be massively lopsided but I’m 100% down to trade both.

Again, are you responding to twitter/reddit or people here? What poster here claimed Herro has more trade value than Bam? How is he a fan favorite on this board when nobody wants to max him (or would do it grudgingly if at all), almost nobody thinks he's better than Bam, and he's constantly discussed as the guy to deal for a real star?

I get that there's idiots in other places who like players for dumb reasons, but that discussion doesn't really matter here, and why bring it here if the point of realgm is to get away from that type of low brow crap?

I appreciate that you regularly update us with posts from twitter, but at the same time I think you're letting the talking points there spill over into your posting here, and creating strawmen and enemies where they don't exist. And it's causing you to overly diminish guys like Herro, when if anything you should be appreciating him as both an asset (he's definitely got positive value in the league right now even if it's not as high as we'd want it to be) and a guy who actually has very good chemistry with your favorite player on the court (with Duncan gone he's the only competent lob thrower until Jovic gets more consistent or the rook proves himself).

Side note, but I always found it interesting how even though Jimmy traditionally was the better passer and much higher BBIQ player (gap closed last year somewhat), he never had good chemistry with Bam, and Tyler worked much better with him. For whatever reason Herro and Bam have always clicked well together.

You can’t reason w/ somebody who’s clearly triggered by Herro, which is actually entertaining to read everytime  He must have nightmares about Tyler. I betcha he threw his cat @his 40inch tv when Herro won 3pt comp. Sensitive to anything Herro as it takes away from his crush Edrica Addthemayo, the bestest player on this team.

I got a pm saying fanboy ranting calling me a racist on prosportsdaily. This is the sorta desperate twit we’re dealing with. I wish that site was still up. i posted on psd to the end w/ same name & post count indicating how long i was there. He has absolutely nothing on me….so why not make sh*t up as a desperate attempt to taint my name - action of the weak & hopeless imposter.
