So they would be making Beal the PG if he came here?

Pretty likely they'd have to offer him a starting position to come here over other places

Wit Beals injuries if he starting it's only a matter of time before we need someone else.

Bring him home, if he is healthy and willing to play for min.

If Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal are both off of the board, I would honestly be okay with bringing back Jordan McLaughlin. It isn't a sexy move, but bringing in a high-character guy who has familiarity with the system and teammates isn't the worst thing.

Yeah, familiarity is part of my reasoning. Being a high-character, high IQ PG who takes care of the ball, helps as well. I just wonder whether TC wants to keep last roster slot free.

Also I feel like McLaughlin fits better as 3rd string pass-first PG than many guys with sexier potential such as Tristen Newton, Bones Hyland, Daishen Nix, PJ Dozier, Monte Morris, Shake Milton, Austin Rivers

For what it is worth, Minnesota has to sign at least one more player, going into the season. The new CBA makes it so teams have to go into the regular season with fourteen players under contract (not counting two-way players), not thirteen like before.

Something we probably shouldn't rule out for the 14th spot.....Rocco Zikarsky.

Isn't it on record that Rocco is signing a 2 way? Are you talking about prior to the end of the season?

Things are fluid when it comes to two-ways. Naz Reid signed his two-way contract on July 5 and then signed his 4-year "Gupta Special" on July 17.

per latest report he's out on us. Mentions he has a list of 4 teams he's considering and were not one of them.

So Lilliard on a 2 way minimum deal with a player option for the second year. Let him rehab from home and collect Bucks from the Bucks. If he is able to play by playoffs, great, if not - oh well. Maybe he will be in a better position to consider us next year if he is on our roster this year.

Then sign a minimum PG to the 15th spot (Brogdon, McLaughlin, Payton, Joseph, Mills, Payne, Wright, Ty Ty, etc.)

Yes, Minnesota is still a difficult place to attract talent. We got dump by KD and Beal. Not sure if we could even get Brogdon, Westbrook or Paul. Seems to end up with guys like Beasley, KA, or Milton. Kinda remind me of my high school prom. Maybe that is why I like the Wolves so much.

Makes sense. We have Ant. Plus DDV and a couple really promising young SGs.

Warriors only have Podz or Hield at SG
Clippers traded away their starting SG
Lakers have no one to start next to Reaves
Milwaukee...Ummm. I guess he overestimates how much impact he can have playing with Giannis...

If Kyle Anderson gets bought out by Utah, which isn't guaranteed but would make sense since they want to suck and his contract is non-guaranteed for next year, then I'd be looking to bring him back. Solves the playmaking/backup PG issue, doesn't overlap much if at all with the current youth, was a great lockerroom presence last time, was an elite defender while he was here AND has improved his shooting since his last season with us.

If you could snag him for the minimum that would be amazing.

Beal kind of sucks and all the teams he plays for usually suck as well.
Wolves are already wasting a roster spot with Ingles, they shouldn’t waste another one with Mclacghlin.

I haven’t seen anything about bringing back JMAC? Do you have a source?

Just fan speculation so far, no rumors
