Jeeze. I’m gonna need some news on Mitch and Mikal. Y’all signing or seeking greener pastures?

This is kinda interesting because I can’t recall ever learning that an active NBA vet calling out a fellow NBA player who has hit free agent before. But here Patrick Beverly tells Quentin Grimes that “he needs to relax” when it comes to his $25 million per year contract demand.

Beal on the bucks looks like a solid difference maker.

EC next season might be the worst conference of all time. I don't know if we dont win it.

it really aint surprising. they didn't use to air all the games on tv in the 80s. some were not even on the radio. they used to show the nba finals on tape delay hours after the game was over. forget about the 60s.

I’ve never understood the hype around Beal. How many winning seasons has he had since Florida? Of course he wants the Clippers because he’s not interested in winning and never has been. To me, he’s the epitome of a very smart modern pro who played the game brilliantly in terms of contract negotiations but on the court never amounted to anything but a highly paid clown peddling hope to the desperate fanbases (/new ownership) of sucker franchises.

Anyway, I wish him well with his double amnesty checks and challenge anyone to name 10 players in league history who did less to earn more.

We could add up how much Ben Simmons made not to play, but I suspect although Simmons got more per year, Beale had more years. Whoever is the winner, it's an exclusive club.

I liked him a lot early in his career and between Wall flaming out and his own injuries he had some bad luck and was put in a role he had no real business playing.

Damaged goods now though. I'd damn sure take him for the minimum.

Not surprising. LaMelo had a lot of fan votes for the All-Star game.

At least Simmons was 6’11. I also didn’t buy the hype on him, but at least I understood it. He was doing freakish things for his size. Beal? One-dimensional scorers his size are a dime a dozen in this league. He was given a very long leash based on the Florida championships and the early Wall/Gortat playoff Wizards. Without that first contract from desperate/dumb Leonsis, no coach would have ever allowed Beal to shoot that much. Watching him drop 30 ppg on one of the worst teams in the league while constantly goofing off on the bench permanently dropped him to clown status IMO.

Pairing him with Harden (and Kawhi) under yet another desperate/delusional owner makes too much sense. IDK the Vegas odds to bet against the Clippers, but I’d take them.

If Beal were a serious adult/serious about winning, he’d go to Milwaukee and prove it. But he’s not. He’ll go to LA to bus ride in the clown car while soaking in the sun and spending his fortune on IG models. Do I blame him? No, I get it. But I don’t respect it at all. Clown.

Whenever I saw him play, I thought of him as Bimbo Bradley. That's how I always remembered he wouldn't be leading his team anywhere. As far as his going to LA, that would be delicious - seeing Lebron struggle to make the playoffs in his $55 Million year.
