If we had Nikola Jokic to play 42 minutes a game and stop Westbrook from trying to be Westbrook he makes more sense on the roster, sure.

The idea of just unleashing Westbrook in non Giannis minutes is so **** gross, it's literally the opposite of what even made him remotely playable in Denver. They literally turned him into Bruce Brown so he could be effective. And then said they rather have Bruce Brown back.

Portland accept Jrue’s awful contract (one of the five worst in the league) while receiving zero draft compensation. And Jrue doesn’t even want to play for them. They then traded out of picking the guy shooting up everyone’s draft board to instead take Yi Part 2.

They are a non-serious organization that is ripe for the picking.

Yep. But they're not letting Camara go. Young, athletic, defensive stopper, and cheap. Even a dumb GM can see that.
Teams don't develop young talent to trade them away.

Grant is definitely available, but why? He's just cashing a paycheck.

You need to pay to offload Grant, cost is Camara.

Traded for Jrue.

You traded for Kuzma.

Bucks had to unload Midds salary and that might have been the only option available. Why did the Blazers take on Jrue’s boat anchor of a contract? Besides Billups thinking Jrue could lead them to a playin game and save his job.

Then we will keep both until Grant can be dumped cheaply.

There has been some noise about vet leadership. Not sure how much that might have been a motive.

I don’t know…he’s all over the board.

Myles Turner was a real surprise but stretching Lillard seems..I don’t know. Desperate maybe.

I hope it works out but if it doesn’t. MIL might be a tough spot.

Reduces the cap hit during Giannis' prime years, amid a rising salary cap.

Kind of genius, given the bad hand.

The Bills Simmons key word "desperate" usage being thrown around is so weird to me. Like of course we were desperate, we had 50 million dollars sitting on the bench who might come back and be post Boston Isaiah Thomas in a year. But in terms of "desperation" moves, who in the hell could have seen it going literally any better than it did? I'm not even the biggest Turner guy, but we turned a boat anchor into him.

Does Kuzma sell hotdogs in the stands in this scenario?

right on!

I think if everyone did that the collective vibe around here would be through the roof.

We have our number two scorer and its okay if national pod guys dont know that yet. They will.

Just say no to CP3, Russ, Beal, Brogdon.. They don’t fit in what Bucks are building. Give me young players with upside that actually want to be in Milwaukee. This team needs to be faster. I’m already worried Doc will use Harris and Prince, let’s not give him any more slow vets to play.

I’m still looking at Kuminga and Thomas. Both will be in “prove it” situations and contracts, pretty much like half of Milwaukee’s current roster. Give me some more of this.

Obviously I am not touching for them any 1sts. If you can get one using Kuzma and whatever meh pieces you do it. If not just stay put, rehab Kuzma’s value, reevaluate the current team and make your move in the deadline.

He was a legit number two scorer down the stretch last season, but for some reason March and April games get discounted as if October and November games guys are going all out with playoff intensity.

He struggled in his first playoff series, but so did AJG the year prior and we saw what a difference a year made there. (Not to mention, remember how bad Midds looked in his first playoff series against the Bulls when Jimmy kept sonning him)

His chemistry with Giannis and ability to play fast/cause chaos is going to look great surrounded by much faster guys overall than last season.

We need to schedule a synchronised edible highlight session

I’d probably give TA one of the last roster spots if only because the team seemed so much more engaged when he was at games last season. I’m sure he also raises the intensity level in practices as well.
He’s not close to a guy who should get any non garbage minutes but he does serve a purpose.
Unless they can give his Prunty’s assistant role. What’s the cap on assistants?

I watched the Giannis 30 minute highlight video from last season tonight. Hilarious how many plays he makes where the announcers for the other team say “no one else could do that.”

Yup, Dame starting throwing Giannis lobs after Khris came back and was doing it. The second Khris was traded, Dame stopped throwing lobs

CJ McCollum is the obvious choice staring us in the face but I don’t want to give up the farm again to the wiz to get him.

Tristan Vukcekic is a guy to grab right now and stash Bogo.

I’d rather get Bones Hyland than Westbrook

The thing about those vet min guys is that they don’t cost anything to acquire. We have a few youngish players but don’t confuse it with a youth movement, the team is trying to compete right now.

I like Russ the personality but on this team with Doc Rivers it would be rough. Brogdon, Paul, Beal, etc would be good gets.

What if Thanasis’ injury had a “Rookie of the Year,” type of effect and he’s now actually prime LeBron?
